6 MONTHS LATER. . .
OPHELIA WATCHED MISTER MIYAGI across from her, as he observed the pesky fly with two chopsticks placed readily in his hands. Ophelia's smirk grew as Miyagi's concentration grew more and more onto the fly. Ever since Daniel had gotten it on his first try, Mister Miyagi had been trying his hardest to prove to Daniel that he could do it as well.
And before Ophelia could blink, she heard a small 'SNIP' ring through her ears. She looked back to Miyagi, who had a small yet victorious smile spread across his lips, as the fly was stuck in between his chopsticks at last. Ophelia giggled, smiling back at Miyagi proudly.
But before each of them could say something about the man's victory, the sound of a stuttering car engine entered their ears. Ophelia sped out the door, running to Daniel's usually beautiful yellow car, that now looked as if it were about to fall apart any second. The smile from Ophelia's face instantly dropped as a pissed off looking Daniel Larusso stepped out of the said car, slamming his door behind him angrily.
"Oh, Daniel~San!" Miyagi exclaimed, looking confused as he walked out behind Ophelia. "Must have been some senior prom!" He meant the senior prom that Daniel had gone to last night with Ali. Since Ophelia never showed up to school anyways, she skipped prom and just had a movie night with James and Mister Miyagi.
"Yeah, what the hell happened?" Ophelia exclaimed incredulously, ignoring Mister Miyagi's grunt at her using bad language. Ophelia knew Daniel couldn't have done this; it wasn't like him. Mister Miyagi went out and looked under the hood of the car, investigating the problem of the engine.
"You mean what didn't happen," Daniel scoffed angrily, storming into the house as he continued talking. "First I let Ali borrow the car and she redesigns my fender, and I don't know what she did with the engine but that ain't workin' right either," Daniel rants as Ophelia brought Daniel in for a short hug before following him into the kitchen as he grabbed two cartons of orange juice. One for himself, one for Ophelia. Daniel lets out another disbelieving scoff as he continues. "And you know what she tells me? She's fallen in love with some UCLA football player. Why didn't she just lie?"
Ophelia soaked Daniel's angry words in, biting back a smirk and an "I-told-you-so". But she made a mental note to tell him that later; not when steam was basically spewing out of his ears. On a side note, Ophelia noted mentally that Daniel looked really good in that suit. But she pushed it out of her mind instantly, remembering she had a boyfriend who wasn't Daniel.
"Could be worse," Miyagi calls out, to which Daniel and Ophelia scoff at. Ophelia knew that Miyagi was always blunt and straightforward, which made him not so much of a sentimental person most times.
