OPHELIA SHIVERED AS THE ICE COLD WATER trickled fluidly down her aching spine. she had just gotten home from a very long lesson from mister miyagi.he had proudly mentioned to her how he had fixed daniel's broken bike that he had thrown in the dumpster the night before. that was one of the many things ophelia june had admired deeply about nariyoshi miyagi; his kindness.
she grinned subconsciously as the thought of daniel entered her mind for what seemed like the millionth time that day. he somehow made her feel things she hadn't felt, ever. he made her feel like her life was worth living. she hoped she could fall in love with him one day, and that the feelings would be reciprocated.
and oh, how she didn't know that she would be wishing endlessly for that same thing for lengths and lengths of time to come. . .
she closed her eyes peacefully as she lathered her light brown hair in her signature cinnamon-vanilla conditioner that she had always used. it was her all-time favorite scent.
as soon as she rinsed it all out, she shut off the water and stepped out cautiously onto the filthy apartment bathroom floor. though, she was used to it. she had to deal with filthier things that aren't worth recalling right now.
she was completely baffled about how she truly felt about daniel larusso, the boy who seemed to be the only thing consuming her thoughts. i mean, she had only met him a few days ago.
but she couldn't shake the way that she was able to find absolute comfort in his kind, mahogany pools of eyes that she was certain that she could instantly get lost in for years if she let herself. or the way his soft, shy voice swirled effortlessly into her line of hearing made her instantly shiver. or the way she loved how he said her name; it rolled off his tongue as if it were the most savory thing in the world.
and, his lips. . . oh god, his lips. every time he opened them to speak or smile, she just wanted to connect his plump, sweet looking lips to hers. it was almost as if she craved them.
looking at herself in the absolutely dirtied up mirror, she almost scoffed at the love-sick expression that had unconsciously spread across her heated up face. she shook her head at herself as she wrapped the stained towel around her torso.
she sighed sadly, reminding herself yet again, that she hadn't known him for a full week, and that there wasn't a chance in hell that he would ever return the feelings.
as she stepped out of the bathroom, she thanked the heavens above that her mother was out getting shitfaced again at a bar, and that her father was working yet another late night shift. she hummed to herself quite loudly as she waltzed happily to her room.
