OPHELIA QUICKLY WIPED THE DRIPPING SWEAT from her hot forehead as she did another round of pushups on Mister Miyagi's back porch.

Her and Mister Miyagi were currently waiting for Daniel to arrive, since Mr. Miyagi had agreed to train him. This surprised Ophelia, but she didn't protest since it would mean that she would partake in his training as well.

Finally, Ophelia heard the rusty creaking of Daniel's bicycle come closer from the train tracks in front of Mr. Miyagi's house, and she smiled and got up from her pushup position to greet him. She noted that he was still adorning Mr. Miyagi's old karate headband. She thought it looked absolutely adorable on him.

"Hey, Daniel! What's up?" Ophelia grinned at the boy, who looked as if he were about to burst from the seams. She knew how excited he must be, since he always seemed keen on the idea of learning karate.

Daniel grinned right back at her as he wiped his sweaty hands together and placed them on his hips as he looked behind her at the renovated yard with awe. "Hey, Lia. Wow, this looks great! Have you and Mr. Miyagi been working on this all day?" he said, visibly impressed as his big brown eyes scanned the beautiful yard behind her.

"Yup!" Ophelia exclaimed, blushing slightly at the compliments. "Miyagi and I have been working since 5 in the morning. It's hard work, but I'm used to it. You're about to get used to it, too."

Daniel's eyebrows instantly knit together in confusion at the last part of her sentence. "What do you mean by—"

"Ah, Daniel~San! Finally here, Ophelia~San could not wait to see you today," Mr. Miyagi suddenly came jogging over to the two. Ophelia immediately sent a deadly glare to the man, but Daniel pretended not to hear the last part of what Mr. Miyagi said.

"Hey, Mr. Miyagi, this looks really great." Daniel gushed, slowly walking further into the yard and past Ophelia and the short, smirking man.

"Thank you, thank you." Mr. Miyagi bowed gratefully at the boy.

"Whoa, are these real fish?!" Daniel exclaimed excitedly, peeking over into a small koi pond that was placed right under the deck bridge. He was more enthralled than Ophelia thought he would be.

Ophelia giggled, nodding as she came up behind Daniel and peeked into the pond a bit as well. "Yeah, I've been waiting for you so we could name them. Would ya want to?" She asked, cracking a goofy smile at the pleased boy in front of her, who just nodded excitedly.

Then, Daniel spun around to face her. Their faces were only inches apart, but Daniel didn't seem to notice as he rambled on with his speaking.

"I'm so excited to learn like you, Lia! I keep on remembering on how you saved me at the beach, and it was so awesome. I can't wait to be able to fight like that," Daniel gushed to the bashful girl who was barely listening; only focusing on trying to keep her eyes from looking down at his lips.
