"Do we go to your parent's house after?" he asked.

Minji stopped and answered "Yes."

Out of the blue, it started to rain. Minji was waiting outside while Taehyung was paying the bill. She took two steps back when she suddenly felt someone catch hold of her from behind. "Oh, everything okay?" Taehyung held her from behind. "I-I was avoiding the rain, sorry," she straightened up after her cute stutter. She felt a deep warm feeling in her heart and got flustered.

"Stay here," Taehyung left her there. Not long after Taehyung came back with an umbrella. "Where'd you get that?" Minji asked. "The store owner lent it to me," he smiled back.

They were walking to the car when Minji noticed that Tae's shoulder was getting rained on. "You're getting wet," she tried to move the umbrella over him. "You'll get wet. Don't worry it's alright," he moved back the umbrella fully covering Minji.

"What do you feel when it rains?" Taehyung asked her before he started the car. "A sudden urge to cry." she was staring out the car window. "Why?"

"I don't know," Minji suddenly felt out of sorts.

They drove off to Minji's house, but Taehyung stopped by a near cake shop and bought a cake before they headed. "I don't want to come empty-handed, I hope they don't mind."

"They'll love it." her smile captivated Tae's attention.

The rain kept on going until they reached Minji's home. "Oh, wait. I think that's my brother." she saw a tall male with an umbrella walking the street to their home. "Oppa!" she screamed out the window.

Minjun turned around and saw the car stop beside him. Before he could say anything Minji told him to get in the car. "Who's this?" he asked.

"Seo Minjun, Kim Taehyung. Kim Taehyung Seo Minjun." they exchanged introductions. "Is he your-" he got caught off. "Oppa, why didn't you drive home?" Minji swiftly changed the topic. "My car's at the shop."

They finally arrived at their humble home. Taehyung got off first with the umbrella and went to the passenger side to walk Minji to the door. "You didn't have to," she complained.

"Minji, is he your boyfriend?" her older brother asked. "Don't even imagine," she made it clear.

They rang the doorbell and the parents opened the door. "My kids are home!" the father hugged them both. Minji took her hood off and her parents were in awe. "Any hair color will suit my pretty daughter," the mother brushed her cheek. "Wah, blue? I wanna see your hair green next." her older brother was trying to crack a joke.

Taehyung stepped in and their parents gazed at him. "Eomma, Appa, this is Taehyung. Kim Taehyung, my sunbae." she introduced him.

"You're so good-looking in real life." her mother praised him. "My husband and I are fans of BTS since our daughter began training there." her mother released her fangirling.

"I have a gift," Taehyung handed them the cake. "Wah! How did you know we loved strawberries," the father accepted the cake.

Minji was helping her mom set up the food, while Taehyung was sitting in the living room with her older brother and dad. He stood up and tried to offer help in the kitchen but Minji told him to sit still in the living room.

Suddenly someone broke the silence, "So, Taehyung ssi what else do you do besides your career?" Minjun asked. "Please speak comfortably, call me Taehyung. I like to play baseball and go karaoke," he answered.

"Taehyung, what do think about my daughter?" the father asked,

"I think she's amazing, despite her passion in the industry she still doesn't let that affect her free time." he glances at Minji. "Does she get scolded at work?" the father had to ask. "We all get scolded from time to time but Minji has dealt with it. Even though she debuted a soloist, more people will focus on her and only her since she has no one to turn to." Taehyung explained.

"My daughter has been so strong," her father looked bothered.

"Eomma what's wrong with the refrigerator. The temperature keeps dropping." Minji asked her mother in the kitchen. "Ahh, it's been like that. Don't mind it, it still cools our food," she explained. "Should I buy you a new one?" Minji said willingly. "Dal (daughter), don't spend your hard-earned money on us. Use it for you, okay? You worked hard for it." her mother talked reasonably. Minji hugged her mother and whispered 'thank you, Eomma.'

With that simple sentence, Minji felt the warmth of her family. It was a shining beacon telling her she's never alone. She was thankful and loved. It made her realize that her hardships payed off.
