Two days later Grace was summoned by Brook and Mary to help them start on the wedding preparations. Grace was responsible for the color schemes and details of the reception and Mary and Brook started on searching for Alice's wedding dress as well as the bridesmades dresses. David and Sebastian were getting busy with the groom and bestman's suits as well as the wedding invitations.
Since Alice started to recuperate her place on Mary's life, she began to play the part of the other grandmother for Rachel. The little girl took a liking for the older women and day by day she craved more and more for her new granny's company, spending time together on the park playing, painting and generally having fun by themselves.
Today was one of those days, Rachel jumped up and down from the excitement of being able to spend her day with Alice. The toodler latched her arms around her gran's legs the second she saw her come through the front door, leaving the house with a gleefull smile on her face and trotting toward the park with a smiling Alice by her side.
Four hours after starting on the looking for the dresses Mary and Brook came home with Alice's dress as well as her acessories, the dress was as simple as a wedding dress can be, ivory colored, v-neck cut, crossed on the waist and falls frelly from the waist. The bridesmaid dresses were cyan blue with a white band on the waist. Since Alice was spending alot of her time in Mary's house Grace agreed on keeping the dresses in her house.
Three days later the men finished sending the invitations and their clothes were ready, the women were ocupied with finishing the decorations of the reception room right before they went to lunch with Alice and Sebastian.
Do you think your mother will like the decorations on the tables? asked Brook to Mary.
She is a fan of the blue tones as well as the pastels, she will find the decorations beautifull. answered Mary. Besides she will be to distracted with the family and friends that are coming to the wedding and with Sebastian too.
They were interrupted by Grace shirpy voice. Do you know anyone from Sebastian's family? I know that your mother knew him from her highschool time but she didn't say much about him.
Sebastian was her first crush, but he had a girfriend at the time which also happened to be her bestfriend. It seems that he thought that Alice wasn't interested in him because she spent a lot of her time with a guy named Vasco, Alice on the other hand tried to stay out of Sebastian's way, because even the fact that she had a crush on Sebastian she didn't want Amanda Crawferd's hate. Amanda was the bitch and unfortunately the queen bee of her school, if she smelled that some girl, friend or not, was trying to have her boyfriend she would destroy her life in any way you could think of. Mary answered feeling a shill at the memory of the said woman. Then she met my father and you already know the story from there on. she completed with a sad smile.
So they have a story book between them. But they met each other at school or what? asked Brook.
They were raised in the same neighborhood, he was the son of the owner of the convenience store were she would go when her mother had to go to work. When her mother died she started to spend more time with Sebastian's family.
His mother treated her as the daughter she never had, his father was a interesting man, he treated her as if she would break even if he looked like a cold lumberjack he was warm and conforting, Paul and Patrick, Sebastian's older brothers, pested her as if she was their long lost cousin but Sebastian always treated her in a different way.
When she had to go live with her aunt Gorette Cambre Shester for five months she lost contact with Sebastian and his family. After she came back Sebastian had a girlfriend, Amanda, that later became her bestfriend. Then she started working as a waitress and met dad, married him and never talked with Sebastian again, until one day she saw him on a coffee shop after moving back to Boston with us. David told me that it happened after Jack was arested, she still had some bruises from that day. she said motioning to her face Sebastian jumped from his table when he saw her in that state coming in the coffee shop. They started talking while she waited on her coffee, and he managed to get her to have a date with him as well as her number, and the rest of the story they will have to tell us. Finished Mary with a smirk on her lips.
Now that we have an inside of the marrying couple, how are we getting your mother to the chapel without her getting suspicious? asked Grace.
Since she is the birthday girl i'll get her into a spa in the morning, after that me and Brook will have a brunch with her and we will get her in the hotel from across the street to get her dressed and then she will go to the chapel to marry her man. answered a giddy Mary.
You are enjoying this to much, love. said Brook kissing her giddy wife's lips.
Can't help it i'm a romantic. answered Mary kissing her wife back.
Aren't we all? said a smiling Grace making the younger women laugh together.
