Their day started early, mother and daughter went to the spa to pamper themselves with body massages,exfoliations,mud baths, the works. While her wife and Alice went to the spa Brook, Grace and Rachel were starting to get ready to the ceremony and preparing the dresses and acessories for the other women on the room of the hotel across the street from the spa.
The hair and makeup would be done by Grace's old friend, Bridgette, a women that Brook would consider an aunt 'cause she would see her almost everyday for lunch when her mother was working or had to make a trip to some place on work for her law firm.
Alice and Mary left the spa by 10:30am, after 2 hours and a half of spa heavenly treatments, they crossed the street to get some coffee and bagels for a late breakfast and headed to the hotel. Arriving at the hotel room, Alice was getting suspicious with the things that were happening.
Early in the day, Sebastian excused himself out of the house saying that he would be needed by a friend that was between moving his things in his new house, David answered her call with a very fake cough that she recognised from miles away and later Mary had called her for a late appointment for a spa treatment. They were acting weirdly around her and she didn't had a clue why.
When the hotel room door opened she was surprised with Rachel's arms around her legs.
Gran Alice. the little girl yelled hugging her. The women behind her were smiling suspiciously nervous. After the toodler unwraped her arms from Alice's legs and Mary ushered her into the room.
What is this. she asked narrowing her eyes to the other women. The bed had an ivory colored simple dress and other acessories on top of it that she recognised as wedding acessories. The women in front of her were dressed in cyan blue dresses with a white band around the waist, but Rachel had a white summer dress with a blue band around her waist and flowery shoes.
This is your wedding day. replied her daughter from behind her.
What? she asked quite shocked turning around to see her daughter's smiling face.
Sebastian planned to marry you today and asked for my help. said Mary The girls over there just helped me a bit. she continued gesturing to the other women biting her lower lip when she saw the teasing scowl of her wife.
You're saying that all of you planned this for me? Is David on this too? questioned Alice sitting herself on the bottom of the bed touching the dress.
Yes. was the younger woman's answer.
A teasingly heavy silence was installed on the room for moments leaving the ladies unsure of what was going to happen. Fortunatly the silence was disrupted by a huf of the toodler that walked to her mother grabbing her hand to get attention. Mommy where's my rose, you said i would get one 'cause the flower girl always has one. she grumbled looking up to her mother.
The toodler's whining made Alice smirk to the little girl.Which one do you want? the white or the purple one. gesturing to the flowers on top of the table on the other side of the room. A second later a belly laugh was heard from the other side of the room door as the women shared the awkward moment between them.
Three blocks from the hotel the men were getting ready as well. David was sharply dressed with his grey suit and white shirt, black tie and shoes. While Sebastian was dressed in a cream suit, white shirt, tie and shoes.
Do you think she will come? asked a nervous groom to his future stepson.
She will be there, i'm sure of it. She loves you too much to leave you. replied Davis with a smile.
I hope so, i hope so. Sebastian mumbled nervously adjusting his tie around his neck.
An hour later the men could be seen at the door of the church. The guests were coming slowly toward them. Sebastian's brother's paused in front of him with their wives. Patrick was married with a beautiful redheaded women, Elisabeth, frequently called Beth, and Paul was accompanied with Carmen, a darkheaded beauty that was his girlfriend since highschool. The brothers exchanged some pleasantries and little news from their everyday lives. The rest of the guests were arriving bit by bit. 45 minutes later David anounced that the bride had arrived.
The church was decorated with white and purple bouquets of roses.
Are you ready? The simblings asked to the future husband and wife.
As long as i have her. answered Sebastian
As long as i live. said Alice
Wagner's wedding march started to play when David and Alice crossed the path to the altar, sharing teary smiles with the family and friends along the way. Sebastian was mesmerized with Alice's beauty, her blonde hair caught in a bun on top of her head and her simple ivory dress made him fall again and again for her.
Who gives this woman? asked the priest
I do. David affirmed surrendering his mother's hand to Sebastian.
The ceremony continued with the vows of the spouses and the pranking of Sebastian's cousin's objection.
By the power invested in me by the State of Massachusetts i declare you man and wife. said the priest You may kiss the bride now he quipped gesturing to the couple.
When the freshly married couple kissed the church errupted in applauses.
