It's been an year since Mathias and Luana became part of their family. The first time that Mary and Brook met the tweens they were nervous, Alice and Sebastian had discussed their upbringing before their parents died leaving the younger couple anxious about their first impression on the kids. Rachel was talking intusiasticly about how she would make new friends and show her dolls and cars to the tweens.
When dinner time came the tweens were polite but still not to much comfortable with the new family, only when Rachel started talking about Disney movies and her new collection of books about dinossaurs the tweens started to relax and the conversation between the others parties started to flow easily. At the end of the night Mathias and Luana excitedly asked to visit their new family in the near future for they were loving their new friendship with the younger child as much as the relaxing mood of the older members.

The tweens were about to be 9years old today. Alice and Sebastian were finding it hard to match the requests of their children, Luana wanted a piñata and a crafting table while Mathias wanted to play soccer with his friends and play by the pool. As for presents they didn't ask for much. From tender age they knew that there parents were poor and couldn't give much to them, they were happy if their father had enought for sweets once in awhile as it was. But since they became part of the new family Alice and Sebastian provided them some goods. The past year was a rollercoaster for them, a new school, new friends, new family, new everything.
Mathias was excited about the fact that David was coming to their party, a month later the Mauri adopted his sister and him David started to talk to them via Skype, and they clicked from the beginning, David shared the news about his job and other things that happened in London and Mathias shared the things that happened in school and with the family, and the new games and movies that the kids and the family enjoyed between their skype sessions.

The backyard was full of games paraphernalia by the left side of the pool and the tables with food and sweets on other side of the pool. The kids were playing on the water and the adults talking between themselves. The piñata was secured on the big oak tree and the presents were placed by the steps of the back door.
Two hours later,after the piñata was destroyed by the tweens,the boys decided to play soccer, with Mathias's new ball given by David,on the field on the other side of the street with the fathers following them while the girls were exchanging crafted objects between them and discussing the new fashion tendencies at school and which boy of their school was the better looking whith their mothers talking between themselves on the background.
At the end of the party the kids were exausted and bid bye to their guests, leaving them with two bicycles, one for each, given by their parents, new games and clothes given by their friends and new cleats for Mathias and nature books for Luana offered by Mary, Brook and Rachel. By midnight, after Mary, Brook, Rachel and David left, the kids sucumbed to sleep with a smile on their faces leaving their parents to share a glass of whine and a sofa to finish the hectic day in the confort of each other's arms.
