📌 Stirling, Scotland, UK
After the emotionally heavy events that happened yesterday, I have fully convinced myself that, at this point, I was completely lacking direction.
I was up all night thinking about everything: from my most important roles in the wedding to Oslo's outburst. I didn't care that I had to look my best in the wedding since I was going to be with the bride a lot; all that mattered to me was how I was going to fix the mess that is my life. Just when I was about to get out of bed, my phone started to ring.
"Good morning, iha! How's my little girl?" Papa asked me after I opened my camera so he could see me, then I smiled.
"As okay as 'okay' can get. How about you, Papa? Are you missing me yet?" I asked him, then he chuckled.
"Well, of course, iha. I miss having you around in this house. Horror movie nights aren't as entertaining when you're not around. Did you get enough sleep? The wedding is today, right?"
"Yes. I just woke up, actually. I still feel jet lagged, but I really don't have a choice; I can't just stay here at home and miss the wedding entirely. I'll probably catch up on sleep after today."
"I see. Well, good luck with that. I hope you'll do well!"
"Thank you, Papa. And, I will try my best, I promise."
"That's my girl. Anyway, if you need anything or if something bad happens, you can just call me, okay? Or Vienna. You got us both anytime."
"Yes, Papa. Now, come on, go to sleep. I know it's almost midnight there, and you got to have your beauty sleep," I said, then my dad and I blew air kisses before ending the call.
I'm glad he can never notice when I lie.
I put my phone face down on my bed and went to the dining room, where breakfast was waiting. There, I was surprised to see my dad sitting at the table already, his cup of tea right at his reach.
"Good morning, Dad," I said as I walked to him, then I took his hand and brought it to my forehead as a sign of respect, then my dad immediately smiled at my gesture.
"Still doing the mano po gesture, I see. You still have your morals intact," Dad commented, then I smiled before sitting down near him, then one of the housemaids poured me a glass of water, which I thanked her for.
"Where's Victoria and Oslo? I was hoping to talk to all three of you today," Dad asked me, then the housemaid cleared her throat.
"They insisted to have breakfast in their own bedrooms, Master Louis. I told them that you wanted them here, but they refused," the maid said nervously, then my dad nodded his head. She timidly left the room, and when I looked at my dad, I saw that he had his scary, disappointed face on.
"I guess I can excuse Victoria, seeing that it's her wedding today. She's probably planning to prepare immediately. Oslo, on the other hand, well, he's always been quiet, and the best thing to do when he becomes quiet is to just leave him be."
