📌 Lake District National Park, England, UK

Brad agreed with me when I decided that Paris should sit on the passenger's seat, which had plenty of room to be comfortable, and he was decent enough to help me move his instruments at the back to make sure that there was space for me to sit.

The car ride was very awkward at first, with Paris trying to break the tension by asking us random questions about ourselves, like what are our favorite colors, when our birthdays are, and how we met each other. I was nice enough to entertain her questions, making sure that I wasn't revealing anything too personal about Brad and I to her, and, sometimes, Brad would join us, but only to add some details and answer questions that were directed to him. It only then hit me that, although we talked a lot, Brad and I never really talked about ourselves in detail; all we're completely sure of was that we had no bad intentions toward each other, which made our friendship easygoing.

"You can drop me off at that corner now. That's the road where my daughter lives," Paris told us, then I nervously chuckled.

"Of course not. We can take you all the way, right, Brad?" I asked Brad, who glanced at me through the rearview mirror, then he shrugged.

"I mean, as long as Paris is okay with it, sure, I don't see why not. I suggest it, though, seeing that the weather's hot today for some reason," Brad said, then Paris hummed.

"Are you sure, Bradley? It might cost you more petrol," Paris said, then Brad glanced at her before giving her a reassuring smile.

"It's no bother. And, don't bother paying for it, seriously," Brad said, then Paris directed him to her daughter's house, which was not too far. When the car was stopped, she thanked Brad and I for the ride, then she went to the gate and rang the doorbell.

"See? What did I tell you? She's harmless. All she needed was a ride," I told Brad, who sighed.

"Fine, you're right. It's still good to be vigilant, though. Weren't you the one who taught me that?"

"Fair point," I said, then Paris rang the doorbell again. We waited for a while before she rang the doorbell again.

"No one's answering, Brad. Shall we go and help her out?"

"Go on. Once we've verified that no one is home, maybe we can take her with us in the meantime?"

"Sounds like a plan," I said before climbing out, then I stood next to Paris as she rang the doorbell again.

"Paris? Maybe there's no one home. You can come with us in the meantime; I'll be keeping you company while Brad will busk at the park."

"That sounds great, but, no, thank you, dear. My daughter's car is parked in front, as you can see. She's home. I just want to see her," Paris said, then a woman went out of the front door, stopping right at the gate before speaking.
