I don't deserve you!

We were sitting in my favourite restaurant and the moment I saw that Dev has bought us here there was a 400 watt smile on my face.

"Would you mind If I ask you something?" He asked hesitantly.

"And even if I mind, will you stop asking. I know you so just ask." I said taking a bite of my pizza.

This is fucking amazing..!

I moaned at it's taste and he laughed at it.
"Some habits don't die huh." He said between his laughs.

"You know you're just trying to hide your own old self. You're trying to hide your smile. You're trying to be someone you're not." He said holding my hand from across the table.

"I am not trying to hide. We were together when I was young. Maybe I've just seen the real meaning of life now." I said shrugging while focussing on my pizza.

"And you still hate pizzas? Why did you bring us here then?" I asked laughing.

"You know I am not too fond of cheesy things. I wanted to just see you smile. And I know there's nothing better than pizza for that." He said smiling at me.

And I looked at him with a small smile on my face.

Why so good?

"If I would've been into relationships, I swear I would've proposed you right away after hearing this line." I said laughing.

He laughed heartily and said
"See, Pizza makes you so happy. I knew it."

"Dev, on a serious note. You should really try this. You're missing out on the best thing in the world!" I said forwarding a slice of pizza.

He had this constant smile on his face.
He held my wrist and had a bite of the pizza.
I was looking at him expectantly with a smile.

"It is amazing." He said not breaking our eye contact.

Is he really talking about the pizza?

I cleared my throat and he left my wrist.

God!
Why do I always get lost in his eyes?

"You're not having anything?" I asked while eating my pizza.

"Seeing you is enough." He said still looking at me.

Can this guy stop being cheesy?

"Dev! What are you a teenager?" I asked laughing.

"Damn! It doesn't work on you." He laughed.

It feels so nice!
To laugh with him after years.

"I've ordered pasta. It'll come in a few minutes." He said and I just nodded.

Don't go too much with the flow!

"Why are you this nice to me?" I asked when his pasta arrived.

"What does that mean?" He asked confused.

"I mean, you should be angry on me & not here sitting with me laughing, flirting, holding hands." I said shrugging.

"What's done is done. Can we change it? No. So, I am just trying to keep you with me now that I have a chance." He said and started eating his pasta.

"No, but I ran away. It is like ditching you. Why would you still want to see me smile? Why would you still behave like a teenager seeing me? Why- I was talking but he shoved a spoonful of pasta in my mouth.

"You talk too much." He said rolling his eyes.

"Maybe I was not enough. I did not make you feel home while you were with me. You felt trapped because maybe somewhere I was wrong." He said and my eyes were full of unshed tears.

I don't deserve you!

"People make mistakes. I don't know who fucked between us but I know that you are too precious for me to lose you ever!" He said kissing my knuckles softly.

"Let's just forget about yesterday and live in today, my little lady." He said smiling.

The kind of smile on which I swoon..!
But, I can't lose my control!

"Stop with that annoying nickname of yours." I whined.

"Ohhh! I absolutely love it. I won't. I've missed calling you that." He said smiling from ear to ear.

"I hate you Khurrana." I said glaring at him.

Ohh! Hate is the last thing I would feel for him.

"I hate you too, Mrs. khurrana." He said winking.

And I just huffed.

"You— I started but he again shoved spoonful of pasta in my mouth asking
"It's tasty isn't it?"

"Yeah! That's all you do. Rile me up and then distract me by food." I said glaring at him.

"But the pasta is absolutely amazing!" I said still moaning at it's taste.

"What is Lisa's story? Why is she with you? How did you find her?" He asked and I stiffened.

Now, what do I tell him?

"Umm actually it's a long story. I'll tell you some other day." I said nervously.

"So, you mean to say you are going to have many more lunches, dinners with me?" He asked with a smirk.

"Don't get too ahead of yourself. You were just lucky this one time I gave in. This is not going to happen everyday." I said rolling my eyes.

I wish It would happen everyday!

"I don't understand why are you pushing me away. I've told you it is not going to land you anywhere." He said still holding my hand.

"You should've known by now that wherever you go, you are meant to be coming in my arms right back!" He said looking straight into my eyes and the intensity his eyes held for me and was scary.

"How are you soo confident about that?" I asked narrowing my eyes.

"Like you are confident about us being too complicated together, I am confident about us belonging together." He said still looking at me.

You know nothing..!

It is better if he won't.
