"This meeting better be important." I said glaring at my assistant.

Today is Karan & Rhea's engagement but my assistant called and said that there was some really important issue I needed to handle at the office and some client is here with a very important case.

"Sir, It is actually something very important." He said and I entered my cabin.

A man was sitting on the chair and the the moment I entered he turned around.
I stood there rooted on my spot.

"Hey! I am so sorry for bothering you on your off day." He said walking towards me.

"No it's fine. But what's the matter?" I asked frowning.

"I know whatever happened between our families, I shouldn't be showing you even my face and I understand that you wouldn't want to help me with this but I really, desperately need your help." He said in a really desperate tone.

"I am getting anxious now. Just tell me what happened?" I asked and went towards my chair.

"You would've heard about the recent rape case of an 21 year old middle class girl." He said.

Yeah! I heard about it. It is all over the news how some rich ass raped a young girl—
My thoughts were interrupted when he said
"It's me."

I was drinking water and the I just spit the whole water on the table and started coughing.

"What?" I asked after getting normal.

"Yaa. I mean I am the accused one. Due to the money & power we've been able to keep my name hidden from it but I don't know for how long." He said shrugging.

"See, If you're here expecting that I would take up your case when you have actually raped the girl then you are at the wrong place." I said sternly.

I won't do this!
I don't care if he is my brother-in-law.

"That is the catch. I didn't rape her." He said and I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Then why would she do something like that? And if you did not rape her then the case is an open & shut case." I said frowning.

"It is not that easy. She was my girlfriend. A secretive one, no one knew about it. We actually never met at public places. The night when she accused of me raping her was the night we had sex." He said.

"Yeah but just because they get your semen doesn't mean you've raped her. They need more evidences. My semen, my skin in her nails and I don't know how she has so many bruises on the body.
The medical report says she was raped." He said and I ran my hand frustratedly in my hair.

"I did not want to actually face you, Dev. But she has a great lawyer who is ofcourse going to prove her point. And I needed someone who could pull me out of this mess. There was no one better than you." He said with a smile.

"Before I could take up the case, I need to study it. Let's have a meeting day after tomorrow?" I said and he nodded.

He looked really distressed.
But I don't know if whatever he was saying was the truth or not.
