Did I hear it right?

"Anushka!" I yelled as I got out of my room after a shower.

"Haa baba! You're tea is ready." She yelled from the kitchen.

I walked towards the kitchen and she stood there wearing denim  shorts and a pink T-shirt.

"Where are you going?" I asked frowning.

"Supermarket. I won't have a day off in another 2 weeks. So, I thought of doing some grocery shopping." She said

"No day off?" I asked frowning.

"Rhea & Karan's wedding is postponed so I have got another event planning." She said.

"So, what is the problem if you would take a weekend off?" I asked still frowning.

" The bride actually got pregnant before the wedding and they do not want the family to know about it. So, they want a smiple small wedding in 2 weeks. So, no day off." She said shrugging.

"See, couples are having kids before marriage. And look at me, married since 2 years and did not even kiss my own wife." I said teasing her.

Her snapped towards me with the speed of light and she looked at me shocked.

I wanted to laugh looking at her expression.
But when she recovered from the shock she threw a nearby knife in my direction and said
"You've got no shame!" She said glaring at me. I caught the knife at the right time before it could touch me.

I dramatically asked
"What if it would've cut me?"

"It should've." She muttered angrily and stomped towards the living room.

"Anushka." I called her softly and followed her.

"Don't talk to me you shameless man!" She said as she walked forwards.

"I was just joking, baby." I said catching up with her while encircling my hands around her shoulder.

"Don't baby me! You asshole." She said removing my hand from her shoulder and sat on the couch beside Lisa.

"Should I leave for my room?" Lisa asked smirking and I just winked at her.

"You're the best sister-in-law I could ever ask for." I said smiling.

Lisa stood up to leave and Anushka held her by her wrist.
"Where are you going? Sit down and watch your T.V."

"Di, sorry but I don't want to distrub you guys." She said laughing and ran away.

I sat beside her on the couch and she shifted to other side. I kept moving towards her and she kept shifting towards the opposite side.
Then she was at the handrest side and I sat close to her.

"Don't you have any work? Goo Shoo away." She said trying to push me and I chuckled moving my face closer to hers.

"I am not letting you kiss me." She said looking into my eyes and I could see the turmoil in her eyes.
For a moment my eyes shifted towards her lips.

How would it feel like?

"Why? You're afraid, you'll lose your control." I whispered with our lips inches away.

"Maybe." She whispered.

We both were just too lost in each other's eyes and then the door bell rang.
