Frustrated I ran my hand through my hair.
My cabin door opened and Karan entered.
"Dev! What are they showing on news? Is it true that the case is been taken to fastrack court?" He asked worried.

I just nodded.
I was too frustrated to say anything to anyone.
"But how did the fast track court accept it? I mean only the opening hearing of that case is done." Karan asked confused.

"I am very sure there is some politician involved in this. And it is a case of sexual harassment so the fast track court must have accepted it." I said still irritated.

Why can't everything be normal just for once..?

Now, that the case is been taken to fast track court the sessions will be held more frequently meaning I have less time to gather proofs. And if I don't give them any satisfactory proofs in the coming 2 to 3 sessions they might declare Kunal as the culprit.

"How far have you come?" Karan asked.

"Nothing! There is literally nothing in my hands except for the proofs that they were dating." I said sitting on my chair irritated.

"Yeah! But that's a good thing. Obviously if they were dating he wouldn't rape her." Karan said hopefully.

"Nope! Nowadays there are cases of marital rapes too where the wife complains because husband had sex with her without her consent. The prosecution can turn it in his way saying there was no consent." I said getting more frustrated.

"Dev... calm down. I'm sure you're team is working hard. You guys will figure something out." He said patting my shoulder.

"I need some alone time." I said and he left understanding.

My phone started ringing and I threw it on the nearby wall frustratedly.
I just sat on my chair with my head held in my palms.

When the intercom started buzzing.
I groaned.
"They don't even let me live in peace..!" I yelled and threw the intercom on the floor.
Taking my suit jacket I left the office and my assistant was constantly calling me from behind.

"What the fuck do you want?" I yelled at him turning around.

He visibly shuddered and said
"Sir.. actually.. that ma'am..

I again yelled at him
"Come & talk when you won't stutter!" I turned around irritated and walked off.

Ofcourse, he would be shocked. I've never talked to any of the employees in my firm in this tone.

I got into my car and started driving nowhere in particular and it suddenly started raining.

"Damn this weather..!" I said banging my hand on the steering wheel.
It started raining heavily and I stopped my car on a deserted road. I didn't even know where was I.

I got out of the car and stood leaning on the hood of my car while the rain drenched me.

I believe in you..!
Anushka's words echoed in my head.

I just closed my eyes and stood there.

There is no one who can win this except you..!

Even if the world is against you I am going to stand beside you in your bad times.
