I don't know how long I burrowed... but I knew it must have been ages.. the longer I stayed underground, the more my shoulder felt better... the arrow shafts had broken off a long time ago in the tunnels I was creating, though I could still feel the arrow heads imbedded in my shoulder like a painful itch.
"Keep going.. you're almost there.. to the safe zone.." said the voice in my head.
I didn't know if I could trust the voice, I didn't care. I all I cared about was burrowing burrowing burrowing. Dig dig dig.. it was as if my brain was screaming at me to hunt some food, dig some more, hunt some prey, dig some more. It didn't matter how big the prey was, or how long it took to get it.. I just needed to do it...
Already several hours back, I had erupted out of the forest floor and swallowed some unsuspecting deer whole, only to just splash back into the dirt and continue on my merry way.
It scared me plenty. Don't get me wrong. I was scared as heck. I wasn't sure what to do... I felt frightened beyond belief. Was I going to be this way forever? Where was here? Was this Runaterra from League of Legends? Had the entire game been brought to life?
Were there others?....
I could understand why those men attacked me.. Rek'Sai was one of a set of playable champions called Voidborn.. meaning they came from another dimension where darkness and evil existed. The most well known of Voidborn was Cho'gath, who was known for spreading fear and mayhem.. and plenty of jokes involving him eating the world.
If I really was in this fantasy world... they probably thought of me as the spawn of evil.. but that didn't matter to me now.. all that mattered, was that my instincts were telling me that I was close to the place...
I changed the direction of my digging so that I began to tunnel to the surface.. I could tell by the vibrations in the earth.. that this place, whatever it was.. was full of human life... but for some strange reason.. they felt familiar to me.. or not.. I was really wigging out at the moment.. this was a lot to take in..
After about a few hundred feet more, I burst out of the ground, letting out an instinctual series of roars. My body crackled with purple energy that I could only assume was magic.
And then I took in my surroundings...
I was in the middle of a large village.. there were wooden cabins, armories.. smith shops.. a pavilion... it was rather incredible.. except for the fact that all the residents were backing up from me in a panic..
It shocked me a little bit more that these residents were all kids that couldn't be any older then I was.. there were some that looked around 20.. but none older..
But then came the bigger shock.. two individuals that I recognized as Champion characters from League of Legends approached me.. A Ryze.. a bald blue skinned magician who always carried a spell book with him.. and an Alistar.. a large muscular purple furred minotaur.
The two approached me carefully, as if getting ready for a fight..Ryze held up a hand which became enveloped in crackling electric magic of some sort..
I backed up cautiously. Should I fight too? I wasn't fully used to this body yet.. so maybe it was better to burrow away and come up with something..
"WAIT!! Jack!! Jose!! You know the rules! Change back into humans before you do something really stupid!!"
That voice.. it sounded like the one that had been in my head..
My tremor sense picked up the voice from a girl coming out of the crowd who looked a bit older then me... with breasts a bit bigger then mine... which I had no idea why I was thinking that, as I didn't even know if Rek'Sai had human private parts.
