Okay, in case this book hasn't yet painted an accurate picture of Rek'Sai to you, let me describe her to be sure you get it.

Rek'Sai is a member of the League of Legend's fictional species called Xer'Sai. Armored, near sentient, centipede-like monsters that lurk beneath the earth, ambushing prey. They are so dangerous, that many of the crew in the League of Legends lore that had been researching the Xer'Sai were killed as they traversed the Shurima Desert (though I haven't read the lore in a while, so correct me if I'm wrong.)  Rek'Sai is the queen of the Xer'Sai, the largest of her kind, around the size of a dump truck and twice the length. When she's underground, she moves at over 97 miles per hour, and sometimes faster when she's really trying. her claws pierce through the toughest armor, and it can rip through a tank (and I've actually seen that happen, but that's another book).  Her jaws do even more damage, with a bite that makes a T-Rex look like a teething puppy.  And if she builds up enough rage while fighting, she can absorb her own pure anger to heal her wounds while burrowing.

Imagine that, hold that image in your head. Imagine this giant monstrosity, this apex predator that managed to deplete the entire country of Shurima of it's living population. Now imagine something scarier than that... something gaunt.. pale.. and bony.. with yellow flaming eyes.. something so powerful, that not even a dragon stands a chance... something that likes either eat it's prey alive, or hang it by it's neck in a mutilated state for it's own amusement..  something that dwells in the coldest, iciest environment, and kills dragons like a lawnmower kills kittens.. something that could stalk Rek'Sai, and eat her for midnight munchies.. And now... imagine an entire pack of them.. a pack of 20 or more that is capable of pack hunting tactics that would make the Jurassic Park Raptors jealous.

That.. is a Wendigo

They exist in your world.. and I pray you NEVER meet one. Because unless you're a Summoner, or somebody with my family's advantages, or a redneck with a few dozen bazookas at home.. you don't stand a chance.

Crap, now I want a bazooka.

Anyways, back track to around 5 hours after I met Mizu in the middle of the night, who turned out to be Nami's Summoner.

Nami.. huh, never really used that champion much. Actually, I never used it. Probably to be expected considering I never was too much of a support user unless I went for Bard. (Bard is fun when you know how to use him).  But somehow.. a healer who could also play offense seemed like the type of person Mizu was. The champion really fit her..

In fact, it really struck me on how all our Champions fit us to a massive degree. Steph was a really outgoing person, who could be really serious and wrathful if she found her allies or friends were being mistreated. Shyvana was a ferocious champion who also had a loyal kinship to her Demacian allies.

I was a loner, somebody who preferred not to be in the spotlight, and yet I could also be sneaky and very rebellious.  As a hacker, I've always found loopholes and ways around a situation. Rek'Sai was an ambush predator, a Jungler whose main talent was stalking her quarry, sneakiness and finding openings, as well as being a lone apex predator was pretty much her complete kit ingame.

To this day, even now as Mikoto writes my very words, I don't know whether our personalities contributed to which champions we became when we were thrown into Avaron. But I'll be honest.. I'm not sure I want to know the real reason each champion was uniquely attuned to us. For one thing, Aurellion Sol's case was pretty distur- wait.. heheh whoops, getting ahead of myself..
