*** from Austin's Eyes***
Austin visited Miyoko every day now..
The wedding of course, was delayed, and Prince Esgar became reasonably distraught. While Austin surged with jealousy every time he saw the Prince at Miyoko's bedside, he understood him. And it appeared that Esgar was indeed truly in love with Miyoko.
Selk, Janice, and Stephanie were Miyoko's most frequent visitors.
The first time Austin saw Stephanie, for a moment he was overcome with joy, thinking that Miyoko woke up, but soon sunk back into grief after he learned Stephanie was Miyoko's twin. It should've been obvious, Miyoko was more fit than Steph.
Miyoko was moved back to Summoner's Village after 2 days, accompanied by a royal Avaronian honor guard. The moment they arrived back in Summoner's village, Austin, Sam, and Jacky were immediately assigned roles, and given two cabins at the edge of the woods.
Sam and Jacky, being siblings, were allowed their own cabin together.
Austin had taken to caring for the Kindred Twins, because he figured that's what Miyoko would want. So naturally, in order to do so, and care for Miyoko too, he lived in Miyoko's cabin.
Austin joined the village guards, under Nautilus's command, while Jacky took to helping Hiemerdinger restock shelves at the library. Austin on the other hand, helped Sora at the local clinic, feeling that at least he could be useful there.
But despite trying to go on with their lives, Austin could tell that Jacky sorely missed her parents, and all three of them were hurting for Miyoko.
Every night, Austin would sit at Miyoko's bedside, and talk to her, just about all the things that happened that day. Not that he expected Miyoko could actually hear him.
But even without Miyoko awake.. change was happening between the Summoners and the Avaronians.
Galvanized by the Wendigo's kidnap of Miyoko, and then her heroic return to Avaron, she had gained many admirers among the Avaronian youth. And supporters were constantly sending letters expressing their desire for her swift recovery. And because of this, little by little, Summoner's Village was beginning to receive aide.
Legitimate roads were built, so that Summoner's Village could access vital trade routes, as well as direct safe routes to the capital. Avaronian builders came, and built cobblestone streets and upgraded the infrastructure of the village.
The cabins soon became brick and wood houses, Dave and the local restaurant gained access to more alcohols and food ingredients, the library was expanded and filled with hundreds of thousands of works directly from the royal Avaronian library.
When the upgrades were complete 2 months later, Summoner's Village had become Summoner's Town, and the large inn recently built meant that Avaronian visitors could be seen as well in the rather larger hustle and bustle of the town's newfound business.
There was only one person who didn't approve of this, King Prow. His continued blind hatred of the Summoners was expressed in his blatant refusal to attend the christening to the newly built ship named The Romantic Manatee, in honor of Urf, the League of Legends fake champion that was created as an April Fools joke and had since become a mascot for the game. (According to lore, Warwick ate Urf as he was dutifully guarding Summoner's Rift, and was seen wearing Urf's skin like a costume, Urf Warwick is an available skin to buy in game.)
And he also refused to show up at the honoring ceremony to the Rek'Sai statue that was erected in the new town square.
Instead, it was Esgar who gladly smashed the wine glass against the ship's hull and cut the ribbon surrounding the statue in the accompaniment of Akemi, who was more of a mayor now then a village leader.
