Moving in with my aunt and uncle wasn't so bad. They're usually busy with work, so it's rare that they're ever home. It was okay though since I learned how to take care of myself at a young age.
Now it was my first day at Karasuno and I was somewhat looking forward to it. A fresh start, new friends, new activities I could try out, different clubs I could sign up for. I woke up early and started to get ready for the day.
I'd packed my bag the night before so all I had to worry about was getting dressed and making myself some coffee. Waking up early, I started the shower, got my hairbrush from my dresser, and stepped inside the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and stripped my clothes before getting into the shower.
Since I wanted to start at this school completely fresh, I washed my long curly h/c hair.
I'd dyed my ends a teal color. My brother Victor embraces his natural hair color, no matter the occasion. I dyed my hair a couple weeks ago before I moved here. After washing my hair and shaving, I got out of the shower and dried off. After lotioning, I started on my hair. I patted it dry, oiled it, made some bangs in the front and braided the rest over my shoulder. Satisfied with my hair, I wrapped myself in a towel and went to get dressed.
The Karasuno uniform was simple, yet chic. And it was a perfect fit. I went to the kitchen and started preparing my coffee in my grey thermos so I could take it with me. I need to ask if there's an ice skating rink around here. I slipped on my shoes before leaving. It was about a 15 minute walk, but I made sure I would have time before the first bell. The school looked a little big, but nothing I couldn't manage, hopefully. Day 1 of Karasuno. I hope this goes well. I thought and gripped the strap of my bag as I went inside the building.
A few seconds after I walked in some people's attention was slowly being directed to me. Am I doing something wrong? Is my uniform a mess? Come on, not even a minute of being here and people already don't like me. I thought, dreading the worst.
"She's so pretty."
"I know. I kinda want to do that with my hair."
"Bro, she's hot."
"If you won't ask her out, I will." His friend elbowed him in the ribs.
"What year do you think she's in?"
"I hope she's a second year."
Guess I didn't do anything wrong after all. I couldn't help but hear some of their comments as I quickly found my way to the main office. I knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
I opened the door and poked my head inside before walking in. "Ah, you must be the new student. Y/n L/n, right?" The principal asked.
"Yes sir. Thank you for accepting me." I said bowing slightly.
"The pleasure's mine. It's an honor to have another bright student at this school." He smiled.
"Thank you, sir." I smiled back.
"Here's your schedule and you should be good to go," he said handing me a paper.
"Your class is on the second floor, third door to the right," he informed me.
"Thank you again." I bowed before leaving the office.
Alright. First hour. I've got this. I walked down the hall towards the staircase. I got to class with no problems. The sign by the door read Class 2-4. Apparently that was the highest class. Since I was still a little early, I walked through the open door of the classroom. There were only a few other students there, but one girl approached me almost instantly.
"Hey, you must be new here. I'm Niko Suzuki," she beamed.
"Y/n L/n." I smiled back.
"Is it that obvious that I'm new?" I asked sheepishly.
"Well it's hard not to notice someone so pretty." She replied nonchalantly.
"Thanks, I guess." I blushed lightly.
"Come, you can sit by me." She said, leading me to the back of the classroom.
She took a seat in the corner and I sat next to her.
"Class is going to start in about 5 minutes, but I can give you a tour during our lunch break." She said.
"Thank you." I smiled.
