Monday
I woke up late and had to rush to get ready. I ran out of the house and headed straight to school, not even having time to make my morning coffee. I wish I had my coffee. Canned coffee just isn't the same but it'll have to do. I made it to the gym 2 minutes before practice started. Good, I'm not late. I thought as I tried to catch my breath.
"Hi Y/n-san!" Hinata beamed.
I smiled back at him and waved before joining Kiyoko on the bench.
"Good morning Y/n." She greeted.
"Morning Kiyoko." I smiled.
"Where's Yachi?" I asked looking around for the blonde.
"She won't be able to make it."
"Oh, okay."

Practice ended and I went to get a coffee from the vending machine.
"Well, would you look who it is." A girl said from behind me as I picked up my coffee.
I turned around to face the unfamiliar brunette.
"Um, hi. I don't think we've met before. I'm Y/n L/n, nice to meet you." I smiled.
"Don't act all nice and innocent with me. I know what you're doing." She glared at me, crossing her arms.
Is she one of my haters? I didn't think many people out here would know me. I decided to play dumb.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about." I smiled sheepishly.
"Don't act dumb. Stop getting close to the volleyball team." She snapped.
"I'm their manager, so I can't really do that, sorry."
"I don't care if you're their manager. Stay away from them or I'll ruin your life." She threatened.
I chuckled and walked towards her.
"Wha- what are you laughing at?"
"I don't think you wanna do that. After all, I'm pretty sure they would believe us over you." I smirked.
"Us?"
"Turn around." I said nodding behind her.
She turned around finding herself locking eyes with Kiyoko.
"Hello Emiko." Kiyoko said with a straight face.
By the looks of it, the two of them had already met. Kiyoko didn't seem to like Emiko either.
"O-oh, hey Shimizu-sempai." Emiko said nervously.
"I just need to borrow Y/n."
"That's fine, but is there still a manager position available?" Emiko asked, hopefully.
"Ah, sorry, we already gave 3 managers. Maybe next year?"
"Oh, okay."
"Well," I started walking to where Kiyoko was.
"It was nice meeting you Emiko." I said, waving over my shoulder.
Once we were out of earshot, Kiyoko sighed.
"Don't mind her. That's Emiko. She's been trying to become a manager for the team in hopes that one of the guys will fall for her. She doesn't even have an interest in really helping the team." Kiyoko explained.
"I figured as much. She was all like 'sTay AwaY FrOm thEm'." I said initiating her voice.
Kiyoko chuckled lightheartedly. I blushed at the angelic sound.
"Anyhow, I was wondering if you wanted to try out a new cafe with me after school. I've heard they have great mochi."
More heat rose to my cheeks and I looked away.
"O-oh yeah. I'd love to." I smiled.
"Great! I'll send you the address." She smiled before we parted ways for classes.
Did... Did she just ask me out...?
