I grabbed on to the sink for support, cried out
"Why! Why can't I just fucking be happy!" I yelled out hysterical
I looked up into the mirror and wanted to cry. I hated myself for ruining everything I have. Cameron was one of the best things to happen to me, but she couldn't handle me.
I heard someone walk into the bathroom during my breakdown, and already knew it was Reed.
"What the fuck do you want?!" I yelled out in tears
She walked over to me, and hugged me. I instantly grabbed onto her, and cried into her chest as if she was a life sized tissue.
I continued to cry into her chest for a long time until she stepped back
"What's wrong Jade?"she asked concerned
I just pulled her back in for a hug again, and continued to cry.
"I always fuck everything up, with you, Cameron, my dad, everything!"
"Jade, Jade what happened?"
"I- she... she broke up with me" I said looking down at my feet
"I'm sorry Jade.. did she tell you why?"
"She said it was about how I'm still not over you" i said trying to pat my tears away
"We'll yes, of course, but-"
"But what?"
"I still love her, and I never wanted her to feel like that." I said, and turned back to the mirror.
I wiped away the smudged makeup, and touched it up
"You do?" She asked looking at me
"Reed... I didn't mean to say-"
"Jade I love you too still"
"Reed I didn't-"
"Jade"
"Reed, we'll talk about this later" I said, and walked out the bathroom.
I took a deep breath, patted my dress down, and placed a fake smile on my face and walked into the main area. I walked to my seat, and sat next to Cameron who was not talking to her cousin. I looked at them while I knew Cameron's eyes were on me.
"Hi! Jade nice to meet you! I'm heather!" She said extending her hand to me.
"Hey" I said with a smile on my face
"So where are you from?"
"She's from California" Cameron replied still looking at me
"Oh I'm well how old are you?" I took my breath to speak but Cameron did for me yet again
"She's 20"
"Haha yep I'm 20"
"Um well where do you go to college?"
"Same place as me" Cameron said yet again.
I shut my eyes for a second, and opened them back calmly
"Are you just going to answer for her?" Heather said with a uncomfortable laugh
"I just know her well she's my best friend"
My head dropped, and I looked down holding back a river. Cameron was still looking at me hard and I couldn't take it
"Okay I'm going to go talk to everyone else... I'll be right back." Heather said and left
I let out a deep breath, and let my smile fade away
"You're really good at hiding your emotions" Cameron said turning her body to me
