Five Years Later... 2021
I've been going on good these past years. I have a job that brings in 6 figures a year, my own house, a Audi q8 and I'm treating myself well. I also moved to California I live near my brother which has an amazing nfl career, a wife, and a three year old.
Cameron and I haven't talked in five years, just silently liking each other's social media posts, and Reed and I don't talk at all. Since she left for vacation she came back, packed up, and left. She's doing well to both her and Cameron both have a stable job as well shown from their social media.
My life has been going good with everything, but I just don't have love in my life. I'll have a few random hookups every now and then, but there's not love just pleasing. I wanted a partner not some hookup honestly.
Anyways... I had just arrived back home from a tiring day at work, and decided to check my email, social media etc.
I saw a high school reunion of my class. I mean I could just pop up and leave, plus I had to fly to Oregon anyways to surprise my mom. I booked a ticket, and smiled. I haven't seen my mom in a whole year so it would be good to see her again. Also it was Christmas o wouldn't mind coming early
1 week later...
I had flash backs driving down this road leading to my house. I remembered driving down this road in Vincent's truck full of stuff pressing all up on me and Nick, we had to stay like that from cali to Oregon. Oh the memories.
I finally was in our cul-de-sac, and it was very touching until I saw reeds house. The cars were different so it was either they didn't live there anymore or different cars? I don't know. I got out of my car and took a deep breath before walking to my house. I knocked on the door, and was met with my moms happy face as soon as she opened the door.
"Oh Jade!" She yelled, and embraced me tightly
We continued hugging until we heard a car pull up from a far. Of course we looked, it was loud, and I didn't want someone to see me cry.
I instantly recognized the car. They black exterior, the black rims, and the illegal tint. It was Reed. I tried to convince my mom to go in, but of course she wanted to say hi to her, so I just awkwardly stood on the driveway as my mom came over to Reed.
"What are you doing here Reed?!" My mom said as she embraced her
I couldn't even hear anything as I admired Reed. She was so damn hot. She had tattoos, I don't know how many but all I could see was hand tattoos so far. She of course still had her under cut, and her hair was still short and brown.
I was pushed out of my trance when I heard someone call me. It was my mom forcing me to come over to them and talk.
"I would love to but I'm going to go say hi to Vincent first." I said with a smile
"Nonsense get over here Jade" my mom replied and I had no choice but to go over
I walked over hesitantly with a forced smile
"S-oo uh how have you been Jade" Reed asked scratching the back of her neck
"Great you?"
"Just great"
We just stood in silence, and I decided to just walk back inside.
"Hold on Jade I need to go get something stay right here" my mom said grabbing my wrist bed she walked back inside
We were left alone staring at each other like we use to. She was looking at me in the eyes, and I could feel the tension building up. Her hand slowly lifted up and cupped my cheek. I saw her close her eyes, and I closed mine as our faces moved closer together. Our lips we just grazing over each other's hesitantly for a while when we heard my mom come out.
