Chapter 38 - Visitors, Part 2

Zhan and Yibo were sitting in their room with their two visitors, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying. And they had so many questions for the two of them that the latter made them a unique offer, which they could not and would not possibly refuse. Lan Zhan asked, "How about we take you to our world for a few days? You don't have to be worried, because while you are in our world for a few days, no more than a day will pass here."

Smirking, Zhan looked at Yibo and then asked, "Isn't it always the other way around in all those fantasy stories? For example, someone is sent to the human realm as punishment. And while it's 60 years in the human realm, it's only 2 months in the gods' realm."

Wei Ying laughed and replied, "Mhm, in the series and movies that may be. But not with us. With us, it's more the other way around. So, do you guys want to or not?"

Yibo nodded and said, "Absolutely. A few days of vacation in the heavens of a magical world, would certainly do us good. True, everyone would call us crazy if we told them about it. But hey, we wouldn't tell anyone anyway."

"No one would believe us anyway. But how do we explain that we won't be home for a whole day?" Asked Zhan.

"Well, it's simple. We'll say we both need a little time together." Replied Yibo with a big grin.

"Ah haha, look at that. That Yibo is just like you." Wei Ying stated with a laugh.

Lan Zhan crossed his arms in front of his chest and shook his head. "You're getting cheeky again. Well wait and see what happens when we get back home to our palace. I'll beat the sass out of you then."

"Oho, should I be afraid now?" Wei Ying asked. Lan Zhan nodded with a grin.

Zhan and Yibo, who were suddenly in a hurry to get to this Magic World, reported to their parents over the radio that they were going to retreat for a day or two. They also mentioned that they did not want to be disturbed and that no one needed to knock on their door because they would not open it anyway.

Lan Zhan then explained to the two that they did not need to take anything else with them. He handed them the two rings that he and Wei Ying had brought for Zhan and Yibo as a gift, however, and asked the two to wear them. Moreover, the two of them had to put on robes similar to Lan Zhan's and Wei Ying's so as not to stand out too much immediately in their world.

Wei Ying then opened the portal in the middle of Zhan and Yibo's small room, through which the four of them passed. Zhan and Yibo held hands excitedly and a little nervously as they did so.

The portal, which looked like a tunnel with a bright light shining at the end, closed on the side through which they had entered. Around them, the tunnel began to sparkle and glitter in green and gold. They walked slowly towards the exit and from one moment to the next, they were in a colorful new world where they were first and foremost greeted by a little talking worm named Ralph.

Zhan looked at the little worm and smirked when he saw its funny hairstyle. "You are a cute tiny worm." He said.

Ralph straightened up and replied, "Oh no, not again. I've explained it to your look-alike before, I'm not a tiny! I'm the tallest in my family."

Zhan laughed and said, "Oh really? I still think you're a tiny. After all, you're barely taller than my thumb."

"I've heard all that before. But you know, I'm only Ralph the cute little worm in this guise. In reality, however, I am a dragon and huge. Then, in my true form, when I am Tao, you will tremble with fear." Replied Ralph.

"Oh come on. Don't put on such a show here. Change back already and let's go home." Wei Ying interjected. Tao bowed and a cloud of smoke formed around the worm's body until it was, as he predicted, a great dragon.
