Chapter 40 - Back at the Hotel

While Zhan and Yibo are saying goodbye to all their new friends in the magical world, to return to their dimension after a week in the seemingly peaceful magical world, the General's scouts have bad news for the residents of the hotel.

The weather has once again worsened in the past 24 hours, and so the horde of vampires could now move around during the day without any problems. They have come much closer to the hotel than the general and his soldiers thought. Because they are still not prepared for such a horde.

After a whole week in the magical world of Lan Zhan and Wei Ying, it was time to say goodbye to everyone. The night before, Zhan and Yibo were given a huge farewell party, where they were even given two magical weapons by the emperor himself.

Just like their magical selves, Zhan and Yibo received magical musical instruments. Zhan received a flute, which he can play even without ever having learned to play the flute. And Yibo received a zither, which he can also play as if by itself.

They were told by the emperor that Zhan can stop attackers, slow them down, or even turn them into his henchmen by playing the flute. While Yibo's zither gives him the power to heal and create powerful vibrations. But it is also possible for him to contact spirits.

Although the two do not yet know which way to use these valuable magical weapons, surely an opportunity would present itself to them soon. Because even if they were far away from their apocalyptic world, they did not forget it and what dangers lurk there. Above all, they did not forget that a huge horde of vampires was on its way to the hotel.

Lan Zhan reminded them that although they spent a week in the magical world, no more than 24 hours had passed in their world. Yibo nodded and promised that they would both watch what they are saying. In any case, neither Zhan nor Yibo planned to ever tell anyone about their trip to this wonderland. No one would believe it anyway. Not even if they used the wonder weapons in front of them.

Wei Ying opened the magic portal that brought them back to the hotel and their room. As the four men stood in the small room, they hugged each other once more and promised each other that this would certainly not be the last time they would see each other. In the summer, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying plan to come again, as they hope that the flying creatures Zhan and Yibo spoke of will be back. They would love to see some of those creatures themselves.

"Oh yeah, before we go, one more tip. If you ever need us, press your two rings together. These will send a signal to us and then we will come to you as soon as we can. And now it's really time to go. Take good care of yourselves and keep holding on to each other so tightly." Said Lan Zhan.

Wei Ying happily hugged the two of them and said, "The next time we see each other, I hope you are finally married. And if not, I will do it myself. Because no matter what dimension we visited, in every one where there was a Zhan and a Yibo, they found each other. Because they belong together."

"Thank you. We promise we won't let anything separate us." Replied Yibo. Zhan nodded in agreement and explained that he had no intention of ever letting Yibo go again anyway.

After a final and heartfelt hug, Lan Zhan opened the portal and the two returned to their world. Now Zhan and Yibo were back in their world and alone. They will miss the two magical other selves. But knowing that they will definitely see each other again, they were not too sad to say goodbye.

Zhan and Yibo changed their clothes and then left their room together, hand in hand. The hotel was noisy as usual and the people they met greeted them kindly. So, in fact, no one noticed that the two had not been there.

After a week in the magical world, Zhan and Yibo find it hard to think that only 1 day has passed here. Inwardly, they were almost expecting everyone to ask them in shock where they had been all week. But nobody did. After all, no one knew they were gone.
