chapter twenty four: war has started 2

"Devyn! We need to make one more stop!" I hollered towards the front seat.

He groans, "and what would that be Anna? Haven't you had enough already?" He replies like he is tired of my plans. 

Impossible.

"Stop at the nearest gas station. I need to pee." I lie because if I tell him the plan right now chances are he won't want to do it. So once I buy the supplies at the gas station we will have higher chances. 

"Seriously? Can't you just wait hold it in until were back at your house?" He wines.

"NO! I am having lady problems! Those can't wait. Right girls?" I look around at Mia and Kate.

"Lady problems are no joke Devyn, want me to explain?" Mia adds.

Devyn chokes, "no! No need to explain. I'll stop." He gives in. Just as I suspected.

Once we park at the gas station I run inside and pretend I am going pee or something but really I am buying cans of red spray paint. And I bought some gummy worms for the road too. The cashier is looking at me weird. Probably because It's late at night and a teenager dressed in all black is buying spray paint. 

"What are you up to tonight?" She asks me suspiciously with a grin on her face. The woman is on the older side of life. Late 50s-60s.

I hesitate, "uhh, I have a school project due on Monday so I need to buy the supplies." I smile.

The cashier finishes ringing up my things, "oh, I see..." She says still suspicious. "Your total will be 10.95"

I hand her 11 dollars and tell her to keep the change then leave through the doors holding a bag with 4 cans of spray paint and some candy. I walk to Devyn's car and get in. He notices the bag I'm holding.

"Omg Anna, what did you buy?"

I chuckle, "just the supplies for our final stop."

"You mean your house?"

"Nope!" I make an emphasis on the 'p' sound. "We're going to Stone Garden." 

Now Devyn chuckles, "to do what? Study?" He asks stupidly.

"No dipshit, look in my bag." I hand it to him. 

He takes out the gummy worms. "You are going to eat gummy worms at Stone Garden?"

I sigh in exasperation even though I know he is trying to be funny. I stick my hand the bag and take out a can of red spray paint and toss it to him. He holds it in his hand.

"Definitely not Anna. I don't know who you think I am but I am not going to vandalize our school."

I take the can away from him. "You don't have to do it. You can be the driver." I look towards Mia and Kate, "you guys in?"

"Is that even a question?" Kate replies, "of course I'm in!"

Mia agrees with Kate.

I see Devyn's face lighten up. He asks me, "so all I do is drive? I'll stay in the car and you guys can do...whatever your doing? Right?"

"Yup! You have the easy job." I say sarcastically.

"But Anna...what exactly are we doing?" Kate asks.

I explain, "we are going to spray the outside of the school with 'Carrie the cunt' 'Carrie the stalker' just stuff like that so when she comes to school she will see that the tables have turned on her. Got it?"

"Ohhhhh, I like it." Kate grins in compliance to my plan. "What are we waiting for Devyn? Hit the gas!!" 

"Okay okay, chill." He replies to her and backs out of the gas station parking lot.
