"Qiuqiu!! Give me back my popsicle!!!"
The navy haired boy playfully ran away from his boyfriend, holding his popsicle and making sure not to drop it.
Surprisingly the festival wasn't too crowded, probably because it was the forth day. The eight boys had split off into two groups, one group who wanted to play games and the other group bought food.
Chongyun caught Xingqiu by his waist and took back his popsicle. Aether and Kazuha finally found them and slowly walked towards the squabbling couple.
"Hey be nice!!"
Chongyun scoffed and glared at Xingqiu
"Don't tell me that Aether, Xingqiu is the one that needs to learn how to be nice!!"
The blonde sighed and Kazuha just laughed. He held up one of the skewers they had bought to Aether's mouth, letting him take a bite before eating the rest of it
"Should we go meet up with the others? It's been a good hour or so"
Everyone agreed with Xingqiu's suggestion and started walking to the area with the game stalls. They immediately spotted Razor's long grey hair waving around in the wind then caught sight of Venti standing next to him
Aether ran to tackle Venti and when they collided, they both fell to the ground resulting in scaring the crap outta poor Razor
"Oh jeez Aether, don't scare me like that..."
"Hehe sorry Razor!"
Looking around for Xiao and Bennett, Kazuha saw them playing a few games.
"I'm gonna beat you Xiao!"
"Yeah sure you are, how about you let the results do the talking"
Xiao pointed up at the scoreboard, Bennett having 50 something points while Xiao just casually had 300. When the timer ended the stall owner congratulated Xiao and allowed him to pick a prize
"Venti, come here"
Xiao beckoned Venti to come to his side
"Pick whichever one you want, I'm not one for plushies"
"Awwh thank you Xiao!!"
Venti was about to jump on Xiao and kiss him but remembered that they were in public so instead he just gave Xiao a hug.
"I'll pick the cat plush!!"
The stall owner smiled and grabbed a hook to take it down
"Here you go, enjoy the rest of the festival!!"
"Thank you! Have a nice day!!"
Bennett waved goodbye and the eight of them started aimlessly walking around in a huge group
"Hm, where to next?"
Kazuha asked loudly, making sure all the boys could hear him. No one responded so it made the cream haired boy feel a little awkward until Chongyun spoke up
"Mm we could go to the haunted house? We haven't been there yet!"
"My bad luck is going to ruin everything!!"
Bennett complained but the others could only laugh. Razor quickly gave his boyfriend a hug and a reassuring smile
"Don't worry Benny, Razor will protect you"
"Thanks Razor!!"
The large group slowly made their way to the haunted house, though it didn't help that it was on the opposite end of the festival. While walking, Kazuha grabbed Aether's hand and held a cookie up to his mouth. Behind them, Xingqiu, Razor and Venti were happily chatting together while Bennet and Chongyun help Xiao organise his stuff.
When they reached the haunted house, the entrance was blowing out frigid cold wind with a small wisp of smoke accompanying it. The pair of staff members smiled and welcomed the boys.
"Hello there! Ready to scare yourselves?"
They said in unity and Aether caught sight of their name tags.
"Lyney and Lynette... Alright we would like to go in as a group of eight please!"
The male took off his top hat and held it out to the female with a sly smile. She delicately reached her hand in a took out a small white card
"Before we let you in, we have to brief you on the rules! So, you'll have to go in pairs that we pick at random. There are four pathways so each pair will go down in a different one."
She placed the card back into Lyney's hat and he put it back onto his head. He grabbed Lynette's hand and they both circled the eight boys
"Lynette, pick one and I'll pick another!"
The two mushed into a blur and when they stopped moving, Lyney was placing his hand on Xiao's shoulder while Lynette was playing with Venti's hair
"Stand at the first door please!"
Lyney opened the door and they stood in front of it. Repeating the same thing over three more times, but somehow Lyney and Lynette picked the couples perfectly.
Xiao and Venti in the first path, Bennet and Razor in the next. Then Chongyun and Xingqiu in the third door with Aether and Kazuha in the last one.
"Now, step into the rooms and shut the door"
Lyney instructed as Lynette checked all the doors from the outside.
"Alright Lyney, they're all ready to go!"
"Hm thank you Lynette. Now off you go boys~"
He pushed four buttons all at once with the sounds of screaming following right after. The staff members giggled quietly as they patiently waited for their next victims.

"Jeez that was scary!!"
Bennett shook himself while Razor was still clinging onto his arm
"I didn't like it... too much for me..."
Aether and Kazuha were the only ones acting totally normal. Xingqiu was hugging Chongyun very tightly with the icey haired boy trying his best to calm his traumatised boyfriend
Or well... I guess it would be more accurate to call Venti truly traumatised. Xiao was carrying his stunned boyfriend on his back and slowly walking towards the group
"Uh... is Venti alright...?"
Chongyun glanced at Xiao then to Venti (who was almost asleep) and then back to Xiao. Xingqiu perked his head up for a sec before burying his face back into Chongyun's neck
"Yeah... our path had a load of jump scares, probably on every turn. And just to clarify, the path was extremely twisty"
"Really? Mine and Kazuha's path just started with a hug drop before going into a pretty straight path with like two jump scares. Honestly, I really enjoyed it!"
"I think it's quite obvious who can survive haunted houses..."
Kazuha was specifically looking at Venti and Xingqiu, both were still terrified. It was getting dark so they all walked to the exit, the bus waited for them outside.
They all got on and were dropped off at their respective company buildings. Saying goodbye then wishing each other a good career and hoping to meet once again.
