When he came home, he seemed somewhat out of it. Calum was generally a happy person, so you knew something was wrong. You didn't want to pry, so you remained silent. The boy picked at his food during dinner, and didn't say much to you at all. Eventually, you just gave up and went to bed. Giving his a soft peck on the cheek before retreating down the hall and into your room.

About halfway through the evening, you awoke to soft sounds coming from the living room. Your eyes peeked around the corner as you slowly stepped out into the light. The room was a mess. Paper lay spread all over the floor, pictures mixed among them. The only source of light was a small lamp on the coffee table.

Cal had been crying. His beautiful eyes red and tired. He sat on the floor, knees pulled to his chest and hair a mess. Brushing a few pages aside, you slip down to the ground beside him. Silence was all that you shared for a while. Finally, he spoke.

"I can't lose you." His voice breaks as well as your heart, but he continues. "I'm never here, and...the people I fall for always end up leaving. I can't-" Shaking your head, you drape your arm around his shoulder and pull him close. His chest rises and falls quickly, soft sobs filling the air. Caressing his cheek, you feel tears form in your own eyes as you try to reassure him.

"I'm not going anywhere. I love you, and you love me. This will last. I swear." Kissing his lips, you stare deeply into his eyes. "I'm yours if you'll have me." For the first time in a while, you prayed that you were right. You didn't want this love story to end.

Calum kisses you again, sliding down and resting his head on your chest. His hand taking yours as he holds it against his chest. "I want you. Forever." It was impossible to mistrust him. He sounded so sincere. Whispering softly, you wipe your tears away. "I love you too. To the moon and back."
