"I'm so glad you came to Australia with me for the week. It's been one of the best weeks of my life." My boyfriend of a year whispered in my ear as we drove to the beach to meet up with his family as our last day here.
"I'm glad I came to." I said and he smiled as we pulled up to an empty parking spot.
"We should take everything so-"
He was interrupted by his phone ringing and his mom was calling him.
"Hey mom. Are you guys close?" He asked with a wide smile and I couldn't help but smile.
But then his face fell and I was confused.
"Okay. I hope he gets better." He said and hung up.
"What's happened?" I asked and he nodded his head.
"My dad is sick so they're just going to stay home. But she knows you haven't been to the beach and offered that we stay and see them later." He said and I slowly nodded my head.
"We can skip the beach. They have them everywhere. Let's just-"
"No. Come on let's enjoy ourselves and we'll see them after." He said getting out of the car and I shook my head.
"Luke! I feel bad!" I yelled and he laughed.
"Y/N! my mom said that! I promise we'll see them later. We spent almost all week with them." He said and I laughed and we picked a nice spot on the beach.
"But what if-"
"Calm down!! Come on and let's enjoy the beach!" He said and I sighed in surrender and laid my towel down along with the umbrella.
"Fine but I'm not going in the water." I said as I relaxed on my towel.
"Wait what?" He asked and I raised my eyebrows and that's when he carried me and ran me to the water while I was trying to get him to put me down.
"Lucas Hemmings you better put me down this instant!" I yelled and he laughed.
"Gladly." He said and then dropped me into the water. I gasped while he was dying of laughter.
"You know I do this because I love you right?" He asked with a sky smirk and and I walked toward him and wrapped my arms around his neck
"Of course I do. I love you too." I said and dragged him down in the water with me surprising him.
We spent the rest of the time at the beach having a water fight and left early to see his family. This was a great way to spend my last day.
