ᴏᴜʀ ʟᴀꜱᴛ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ - ᴅᴘʀ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴍ

Your alarm rang for the fifth time and you groaned at the annoying tone. You shut it off before sitting up and rubbing your eyes attempting to wake up when you were hit with a wave of nausea and a headache.

You got up and ran to the bathroom before crouching down and throwing up over the toilet . As gross as it seemed, you felt a lot better after that .

You were supposed to be going on vacation with Mark and his parents today , the thought alone causing you to groan after last night's events, not to mention the blue-ish bruise that formed on your face mirroring Haechan's face where Mark had hit him.

You brushed your teeth before heading out of your room to grab some coffee , Mark seemed shocked by your presence when you entered the kitchen .

"I -uhm ... I didn't think you were coming anymore , I was just gonna tell them you weren't feeling well" he said , you poured coffee into your mug before hopping onto your usual spot on the counter .

"I'm only coming because I miss them , you owe me breakfast after what happened" you said as you sipped your coffee and he just nodded before returning back to his own room.

You sighed , the irritation of last night brewing in your core again , before your mood could be ruined you decided to pack your things and get ready to leave .

Once you were both in the car Mark explained that you guys were going to a holiday house Mark's family had in Busan that he hadn't been to before. You simply nodded along, mostly trying to avoid conversation.

Your mind traveled back to the events of last night not fully believing they had really happened, you also didn't mind Haechan's presence after it and besides it was super fun to just let loose and relax after what had all been happening.

Mark drove , his eyes occasionally traveling to you as you zoned out gazing out the window . The tension in the car was thick and awkward but for some reason he just couldn't bring himself to apologize for what happened , yea he was sorry for causing you pain but he wasn't sorry for anything else that happened.

He sighed before focusing on the road ahead , this was going to be a long drive for both of you .

You arrived at the house quite taken aback but the size of the actual house , both you and Mark hopped out of his car and he offered to carry your bag , which after all he's done you gladly let him do .

You walked into the huge house and immediately Mrs Lee spotted you walking over to hug you . "Aera I've missed you so much" she said , you returned the hug , "Mrs Lee I've honestly missed you just as much."

You'd never lie to Mark's mom hell you couldn't she was able to tell you were lying a mile away . You had genuinely missed her so much , when you and Mark were growing up she became somewhat of a mother figure to you more than your own ever was.

"Hi mom I'm here too" Mark dragged the luggage in and Mrs Lee laughed , "ahh there's my second favorite child." Mark rolled his eyes before returning his mom's hug.

"Your fathers just out by the water with the neighbors, why don't you take the luggage up to the room before you go say hi" his mom said and he nodded.

"I figured since you two are soulmates now and whatever that you wouldn't mind sharing a room since the spare one is currently being renovated" she said and your face fell before you quickly recuperated . Mark just nodded heading upstairs not wanting to upset his mom by arguing with her about the sleeping arrangements.

You followed Mrs Lee out to the backyard which overlooked part of the ocean , you gasped at the stunning view . She had been rambling about how their business was doing well again since they'd gotten some new clients .

Mark joined you both standing slightly behind you , not wanting to intrude . He walked past eventually to greet and join his dad in speaking to the neighbors.

"Why don't you help me with dinner Aera" Mrs Lee spoke and you nodded following her to the kitchen to help where you could.

"Aera I know this may sound weird but I am genuinely so glad that Mark has you as his soulmate" she said as she stirred the food on the stove. You continued washing the dishes feeling slightly awkward knowing she had no idea about Haechan.

"I mean you did always joke that it would happen" you giggled lightly , "I know but in all honesty Mark has liked you for so long so I can only imagine how happy this makes him" she said.

You dropped the mug you had been washing causing it to break in the sink. "Aera honey are you okay ?" Mrs Lee rushed over to check on you thankfully you weren't hurt but she still insisted that you go relax outside with Mark and his dad.

You dried off your hands before walking mindlessly to the backyard to see the two men outside talking Mark letting his father listen to a few of the songs he recorded.

You watched as his face lit up speaking about something that made him so genuinely happy , you wondered whether what his mother had said was true .

Has Mark really liked you all this time ? How were you so blinded by your own feelings that you hadn't noticed it? Then you realized maybe that was an added reason for the way he's been acting. He's liked you for so long and now Haechan just stumbled into the picture almost so easily.
