This entry is going to be a little different, alright? As it is things that are on my mind, this is HEAVY on my mind the last two days, and I don't care who gets mad or what you have to say on the matter. Don't like it, sorry not sorry.

Niklaus may have gone through resets, but I haven't. I remember a major majority of the things that have happened in the last five months since joining the fam, and this is what I have to say on the things that have happened over the last two days for Damon.

Damon does not deserve to be treated the way he has been treated, and he is a damn good father to all of his children. Damon may drink once in a while, but never when he has the kids. He may lash out from time to time, but never around his kids. He loves them, more than he loves anyone, including Elena.

Guess what though, Katherine drinks from time to time, she lashes out, hell, she does drugs. No one questions her ability to parent? But Damon? Because he's happy with Elena? Because it's being said that he choose Elena over his kids? Come on...

Damon didn't "choose" Elena, he chose to quit being controlled in what makes him happy. You can't expect him to just be completely miserable when there is someone there that wants to help him be happier. Yes, the kids make him happy, but doesn't it matter that Damon is happy with another person? No matter who it is. Who the heck cares if it's Elena? Who cares if it's a canon ship, Damon is happy, let him be happy. Let him see his kids.

I understand that it's hard sometimes to separate your own feelings from your character, but you HAVE to figure it out because it's starting to affect all the admins involved, and it's just not fun anymore. The point of the plot, whatever it was, seems to be long gone and pointless at this point, and you can't expect Linds to just keep Damon away from someone that makes him happy because it's not "endgame".

Point of the entry?

Let's stop treating Damon like he's a trash parent and terrible person, because he's really not. He's had a lot of character development as well, and I won't let that go unnoticed because of anyone else's personal feelings.

If someone tried to keep my son away from me, I'd probably kill them with my own bare hands. As a vampire with heightened senses, I'm surprised Damon hasn't done more, honestly.

Kids.

I'm not saying a whole lot more on the subject, but I'll defend Damon and I'll defend Linds until something gives. I'm not playing anymore. Damon is a good father, you cannot convince me otherwise.
