Loves,
This won't be a very long entry, but it's something, I guess...
The last week has been a long one, and I've honestly cried through most of it. I can't seem to sleep enough, and my head hurts constantly.
We've done more work on my house, and the upstairs is pretty much finished, we are just working on the downstairs now. The downstairs has to be completely redone, so it'll probably take a while to finish.
I got four and a half days off this last week, and now I'm working seven in a row, so it kind of just cancels it out in my opinion... My boss swears she's trying to get me on day shifts, but then tells me I may still have to work two nights a week, so... I've been offered (again) a higher dayshift position at another store, and my pay will only be .50 less than what I make now, and I'll be guaranteed Friday and Saturday nights off...
It's hard for me to talk to my boss about it because she has this way of getting herself emotional about people leaving, and then I feel bad about it... so, if anyone has any pointers, let me know...
Let's see... oh!
Last night, a lady came up to the store (around 3am) and was asking Noah and I to call the cops, said some guy opened her door at the stop light and got into her car, was freaking out and kicking and screaming, and said she thinks he's on drugs... So, we called the cops and an ambulance because she said he passed out in the backseat of her car, and she wasn't sure if he was still alive.
We called the cops and an ambulance, went back outside, Noah and I pulled the guy out of the backseat and onto the ground, putting a towel under his head. Noah started chest compressions because the guy was barely breathing, and we continued this for the next three minutes until the first responders showed up. The EMT lady saw the girl and said "you again?" Apparently they've been called twice in three days for an overdose in the last three days, and this lady was at both of them... which, got Noah and I thinking, so we went back and watched the cameras that are pointed at the stop light. No one got in her car, and she drove too calmly to have someone just hop in the backseat of her car...
Anyway, when the guy came to in the back of the ambulance, he started fighting, luckily he was strapped down, or I think things would have been different...
So, that's what my nights at work look like. Usually once or twice a week... Noah and I don't get paid enough for this...
I work in three hours though, and I'm head is killing me, so I'm gonna go take a super cold shower to try and ease that one...
All my love,
-Nic

NonfiksiMy therapist has recommended that I start journaling again, so I thought who better to share my everyday struggles with than the people who help me through them? So, this one is for my fabulous chosen family.
