After lunch, I said goodbye to the Todoroki siblings. Endeavor had left for his patrol a couple hours ago so I hadn't gotten the chance to speak with him again.
'And I thought Mr. Aizawa was intimidating... Don't get me wrong... he is, but Endeavor...? He's on another level...'
I left for the cafe and after my shift I finally made it home after almost three days. I skipped over my training and, after only a warm up, I went on my patrol.
I didn't sleep that night. Not only because I was feeling guilty due to me skipping two patrol nights, but also because I kept stumbling into villains.
On Sunday I had returned to my usual program and I also managed to get a few hours of sleep in.
On Monday I was exhausted, but experience allowed me to play it off as if nothing was bothering me. Most hours were fine, but Present Mic's obnoxious quirk and his enthusiasm for teaching English made his class hard to focus on and even harder to tolerate.
Most kids weren't even paying attention to his lecture and those who were, hardly understood something. Half the class was resting their heads on their desks, almost sleeping.
From my desk I could see all of my classmates. I watched Uraraka resting her head on her desk and Iida as he was vigorously writing down in his notebook everything that Present Mic was writing on the blackboard.
Kirishima was poking Kaminari with his pen while Kaminari was completely ignoring him. He had his head on his desk and he was fidgeting with his choker. I've come to learn that he wears that choker every day. It has become his signature thing.
Ashido was patientlessly taping her finger on her desk while Aoyama was staring at his own reflection in a small mirror he was holding under his desk.
All of our activities, whether or not they were related to Present Mic's English class, were interrupted when he suddenly used his quirk.
"Come on, guys and gals! Look alive!"
At lunch I found the table I usually sit at swarmed by some of my classmates. The usual Uraraka, Iida and Todoroki were there, but Ashido and Tsu joined us with Ashido insisting that I call her Mina.
Kirishima wanted to join us, but he was with Bakugo who refused to sit at the same table as me. Eventually Kaminari and Sero joined Kirishima in convincing Bakugo to sit at our table. Surprisingly, Bakugo came around and sat with us, but he remained as far away from me as possible.
Jiro and Tokoyami joined us in silence, not saying a word to anybody, but acknowledging our presence.
'At this rate, by the end of the year we'll have the whole class sitting together at this table...'
I didn't really mind it, but I'm rather used to being alone. Even last week, Uraraka, Iida and Todoroki were more than enough people to sit with me... and now we were so many that Jiro had to pull an empty chair form another table.
Upon returning to 1-A classroom we were greeted by a grumpy Mr. Aizawa who was, surprisingly, awake. He was sitting at his desk, but he sat up when he noticed us coming in.
We all took our respective seats and Mr. Aizawa waited for us to calm down and shut up before he started talking, telling us what we'll be doing for today's hero basic training.
"Now... for today's hero basic training... This time All Might, myself and one other will supervise."
'This time...? So it's a special class...?'
