I open my eyes to find myself drenched in something wet, sticky and warm in a dark narrow hallway. I look down at myself. It's a dark red. It's blood.
My body started to tremble. I move my hand to my stomach in order to try and wipe the blood off of me. I barely touched my skin and a sharp wave of pain went through my entire body making me collapse on the floor.
'It hurts... so much.'
I then get up to take a closer look at my body. I was covered in deep cuts and had bruises all over.
'So this is my blood.'
I was too afraid to make a noise, so I just stood up and headed towards a dim light in the distance. I was barefooted and every step I took sent waves of pain. But I bit my tongue and stayed quiet. I look at my hand and it's shaking.
'What the hell happened? How did I even got here? I can't remember anything. In this state I won't be able to fight anyone. What am I going to do?'
Suddenly I hear voices. I wasn't sure what to do.
'Should I head toward the voices? Maybe they can help me. But what if they are the ones that put me in here... in this state?'
I decided against facing them and I turned on my heels to walk in the opposite direction. The pain intensified with each step now and I didn't know why.
'What changed?'
I look down at my feet and realised I was running. I don't know why, but something inside me tells me that I should run. That it's best if I run... it's safer. So I ran. As fast as I could. But the pain only got worse. I felt my eyelids starting to get heavy and it became harder and harder to keep my eyes open.
'Run! Move dammit!'
I wasn't sure were I was heading or what I was hoping to find at the end of this impossibly long hallway, but suddenly I ran faster. In my sight appeared a huge metal door and a wave of relief washed over me for some unknown reason.
I came to a halt right in front of the door. I almost crashed into it, but I managed to stay silent. I stretched my right arm forward to reach for the handle, but before I could even touch it a deep, familiar voice came from behind me.
"What do you think you're doing doll? You're pretty far away from your room, now aren't you?"
I froze. My body started shaking violently and I couldn't make it stop. I couldn't control it. I turned to face the man that spoke a second ago and when I did, I backed away.
My back was against the cold metal door and it sent chills down my spine. I wanted to back away even more... I wanted to get away from him, but I couldn't. There was nowhere I could run.
He stared me down with a smirk plastered on his face. He was covered in blood as well, but there wasn't a single scratch on him.
'It must be my blood.'
In his hand was a knife. Blood dripping down from its blade.
"Answear me!" He yelled annoyed while waving the knife through the air and approaching me.
"I... I..." I didn't know what to say.
I didn't know where I was, so answering his question was impossible.
