The next couple of days at U.A. were difficult from a different reason than what I was expecting.
The media was blowing up with news and stories only about the USJ attack and how U.A. allowed its students to be in harm's way as villains managed to infiltrate the school's premises. Everyone was talking about 1-A and the USJ attack and, while some were impressed, others were reserved when it came to what the 1-A students did back there.
I found myself a new bully, the Bakugo of this school. It would've been better if it were a boy, but a certain girl and her anturaj apparently have something against me. I ignored them just like I ignored the kids in middle school that were talking behind my back or, sometimes, even in my face.
This little group's leader's name is Kyoko Yuuki, a beautiful girl in general studies in my year. Her right hand, Yua Akari and her left hand, Saki Kumiko are mindless minions who wouldn't dare speak against her.
For some unknown reason, Yuuki seemed to have something against me more than any other 1-A student. After the USJ, anywhere they caught me, the halls, the cafeteria, anywhere on school grounds really, they whispered hurtful things behind my back, but they made sure to be loud enough for me to hear their comments.
I couldn't care less to be honest, but some of my classmates that happened to be nearby and to hear their remarks naturally intervened against my wishes.
I was in the cafeteria and I had just finished my lunch. I was heading towards the exit, but right then I passed by the three of them.
Yuuki is a smart one so she never acts against me publicly, but both of her minions are as dumb as they come. Akari shoved past me, bumping her shoulder into mine as she spoke.
"Oh my God... Look at her, begging for attention..." She giggled to Kumiko.
The two of them stopped before they turned to face me.
"Is it true you pulled some stunts during the USJ attack just to get attention...?" Their giggles turned into laughs as they stared at me.
I didn't answer so Kumiko took the opportunity to speak up.
"I bet she's not even that good." She said and her and Akari had yet another good laugh out of it.
By this point they were making a scene with their obnoxious laughters. Yuuki, who has just been watching up until now, decided it was time to intervene as she saw that people were starting to gather around us.
"Now... Don't be mean..." She started as she folded her arms on her chest. "I'm sure it was a terrifying experience for her..." She said to her minions who got the hint and shut up.
Those that were listening a second ago lost interest and were now going back to their businesses, thing of which Yuuki took advantage to say her line.
"I'm sure you're not good at all. Didn't All Might have to save especially you?" She whispered with a warm smile on her lips. "I guess you were so desperate for attention that you intentionally put yourself in harm's way just to have the number one hero rescue you, didn't you?" She maintained her smile as she pushed past me without waiting for an answer.
The other two followed her lead, giggling quietly like two drunk idiots.
I never really understood why some kids think they're better than others... Honestly, the only thing I felt for them in that moment was pity.
