Science is very fun and interesting to me. Though I did go crazy when I saw my grade for science. F+.
F+??? That's not right. And the "plus" sign is just insulting. Well it's more like me insulting my own knowledge.
I grabbed the paper that had disappointment written over it and rushed up to my teacher.
"Mr. Stanley, in the kindest way possible, I'm going to ask you that why are you trying to ruin my life?" I said, nicely.
Mr. Stanley turned around and smiled. "Allison. How was your day?"
My day? Oh you know had corn flakes for breakfast, learned new vocabulary in Spanish class, wrote a poem in English class, played baseball in gym, and had a heart stoke in science. Yeah my day was fine.
Sorry, I speak sarcasm.
"It was alright sir, I just think that there was some confusion in my grades", I replied, not from my sarcastic side.
"Well let's see the problem", Mr. Stanley walked to his computer and opened up his grade system. He typed in a few things and then said "aha there we go! Okay Allison Meers; you have an F because you have not been participating in class much. And also because you have not done a couple of your lab reports and some assignments. But it is especially for not participating in class. I strictly grade my students for participation."
Jeez, sorry for being a teenager.
I sighed and asked, "is there any way to bring my grades up?"
"Of course there is Al. Here's what you can do. Join science club afterschool. Go there for about the rest of the semester.... which would be 5 weeks for now. And if you get good results from science club for the next five weeks, you can pass my class with a B."
5 weeks. Okay Allison, you can do this. It's only five weeks.
I took a deep breath and then said, "deal."
