" Today, we are working in the field" Alex says as he walks out. I retain myself from screaming or curling into a little ball and follow him. If I ever had to die of embarrassment, it will be right this instance were I'm praying for the earth to open and swallow me or for a tornado to appear from thin air and carry me away or anything but being here with Alex will be okay right now.
I shamefully follow Alex with my head and heart hanging very very low and my mind so out of control that I can't even control anything within me.
" Put on those clothes on the table." He says as he steps out. I obediently turn around and take the package on the table then walk to my bedroom to get them on.
I get back down and walk towards Alex who is very far from the house. Still wondering if I have to step on the flowers that start few meter away from the house, with a heavy heart I step on of the flowers but before me foot can land on it, the flowers move away as if sensing my foot.
I take a step forward and the next flowers move away as well. Then I take the other steps looking at the parted flowers with fascination and an astonished smile on my face. I cross hundreds of flowers before I finally reach Alex.
I raise my head to look at him and the smile gradually fade with intensity of his eyes on me and the thought of what happened earlier in the house. I clear my throat and look around arkwardly.
He finally looks away before he spreads his arms at both sides of his body, causing the flowers sorounding us to move away, creative a relatively large space enough for no one to breath down any others neck.
" Come here" he says in his icy voice to which I readily comply, stoping infront of him.
" Come closer" he says when I'm at what seems like a meter or so away from him. I step closer to him but not enough for him to breath down my neck. I crane my neck to look up at him.
" Come. closer" he enunciates. At the almost audible annoyance in his voice, I get so close to him that my face is a few inches away from his chest. I look up at his chin before he takes a step back and looks at me very calmly.
" Do you know how to punch?" He asks but like a retard, I "eh" in response.
" Punch me." He says next. I frown first then figure out that it must be my training for today. Without hesitation, I step closer with a tight fist that I hardly throw at him but he catches it like a kids play.
I try a couple of times again until I'm out of breath. Painting like I just ran a marathon.
" Weak. Pathetic" Alex growls before pushing away my hand harshly, causing me to stumble back almost loosing my footing.
" Forget about lunch if you can't land a punch." He hissed loud enough to for my breath to hitch in my throat. I've never heard this Alex. He's annoying, tiring and scaring.
" Then what? You'll give me a baby bottle for dinner?" I bite back in frustration.
" Land a punch, Elizabeth" he says very calmly, making me feel chills.
" Maybe you should stand still and see if I can land one or not. Just to verify if I'm a pathetic weakling or not" I blabber. If only my blabbering could divert his attention, maybe I could land a punch on him.
I take a step towards him with my fist ready to land a punch. He slaps away my hand and I almost fall forward. Regaining my balance, I turn around to land another and another and another but unsuccessfully.

I rest my hands on my knees breathing heavily, feeling like I could drop death anytime soon. I kneel on the ground too tired to stand on my own two feets. Where does he even takes this training? It makes no sense and with him acting like a he is martial art master I can't do anything.
