I am in the bedroom one morning when Zoedae comes and tells me that there are witches in the house having a mediumly heated conversation with Klaus. I just nod because it doesn't concerns me directly but when she tells me that Richard Houkaï is a part of it, my heart sinks.
What is he doing here this early in the morning?
I tighten the nod of my nightware and rush out of the bedroom with Zoedae hot on my heels. We reach the East wing hall and I find Klaus pacing around while exploding in anger at....a very—and when I say very, I mean VERY— old lady which is in the middle of a circle of five witches including Richard, protecting her somehow.
"It does not matter to me if you are a whatever supreme witch or if you made a promise to my deceased mother. You do not walk into my territory, my home and order me around. It is my family and you have no say in how I decide to go on with it." Silence fills the room and Klaus looks livid.
If I hear correctly, she's related to the Salvior's family and here to accomplish a promise that she made to Klaus' mother. Then why is Klaus so negative about this? Is my question.
" What is going on here?" My voice resounds with just the right amount of authority. Klaus visibly tenses as his head snaps my way.
" My child." The very old lady says and starts walking in my direction.
" Do not get closer to her." Klaus growls and a thick wall of glass appears infront of me, separates the old lady and the other witches from me, eventually separating the room in two.
"Klaus?" My instinct tells me this old lady can't hurt a fly and more to it, Richard is with her so it should be Klaus just being overdramatic. I look at him trying to tell him with my eyes to take it down a little for me to be aware of the situation.
Klaus glares at me in return. I roll my eyes internally before glaring back as much. When he doesn't budge, I sigh. Getting angry won't bring us anywhere.
" Please, get this glass away." I finally say. He doesn't move and we stay in a staring contest for a while. Klaus starts walking towards me, passing through the glass making me wonder just how strong he can be. When he is next to me, the wall disappears.
I walk towards the old lady that should be extremely tired because she has been standing for a while now due to Klaus' lack of hospitality, obtaining a low growl from Klaus which I ignore for the time being.
I take both her hands in mine with an apologetic smile.
" Sorry for the inconvenience, ma'am." She gracefully smiles.
" Call me Claris." I nod.
" Let's get you comfortable." I start moving towards the nearest sitting room and everyone follows except for Klaus.
I walk back out when everyone is well sitted with a tea cup and some goodies infront of them. I find Klaus still in his spot as earlier.
" That lady can't hurt a fly." I say and he shakes his head as if in disbelief.
" It has nothing to do with hurting. It is because of what she wants to do to you." This gets my attention.
"What does she wants?"
" Nothing, my love."
" You can't say nothing when she's sitting in that sitting room and waiting for us." He grits his teeths.
" Please, Klaus." I beg taking a hold of his hands and craning my neck to keep eye contact. His eyes invades my thoughts through my eyes, leaving me bare and the best part of it is I don't mind one bit.
