Minutes later Del’mont was standing before her in his almost naked glory, were it not for the bedsheet Schephrael had given Klaus, prior to his transformation.

Their difference in physical appearance was uncanny but strikingly beautiful and complementary.

She looked soft and delicate while he looked sturdy and rugged. They were the incarnation of elegance and power put together.

Schephrael looked at him stunned and much more rosy than she initially looked. She felt her mind opening up to his and his mind opening up to hers.

It was both beautiful and terrifying for both of them. And the fact they did not at all expect it made their emotions roar to life like a raging fire.

They could now read and sense both their minds and emotions like an open book. This was the power of their bond at its natural force.

Without giving it any thought, Schephrael was already out of bed and walking towards her mate, her beloved, entranced by his mere presence while he had lost the ability to breathe a word a while ago.

As their body touched, they felt the power of their bond on their flesh and in their bones.

Ethereal.

Powerful.

Those were the few words that could come close. It was as if receiving an unbearable discharge of electric volts but for some mysterious reasons, the feeling just added to the intensity of the bond.

Schephrael felt Del’mont’s mind at arm’s length. Like all she needed to do was just reach out and she would be able to see any of Del’mont’s memory.

She couldn’t feel giddier at the thought of seeing through his younger memories.

Time had passed at the Salvior’s castle, things couldn’t have been more perfect. Lizza was back to her own features even though she was still struggling to manage the constant voice in her mind and the powers that came along with whom she was.

But she was in good hands since Klaus took it upon himself to walk both Schephrael and her through this stage of their life.

They couldn’t have had a better teacher since he had had many trials and errors in his younger years and had practically monitored himself as the only heir of the Salvior family, as a young scientist (to take over his family affairs) and a pertubated boy with a living, breathing beast in himself. So he was well qualified for the task.

Up-to-date, Lizza had been the perfect image the world had been expecting of her despite how challenging it had been, she had been able to navigate her way through it.

Not alone though because she had the perfect partner and the perfect surrounding, she had all the support she could need and more.

They were currently finishing a meeting where all the fifteen Aristocratic families where reunited in a conference room.

Klaus as the oldest of their species was obviously their ruler and had called for a much needed meeting. Klaus and she were obviously seating at the head of the table in a purposely relaxed manner and the rest were sitting along the table according to their rank and power.

The room was oozing with tension. Everyone trying to impress the other with their wealth, superiority and knowledge.

She sat through out the meeting, Klaus and her talking back and forth on what was happening around the table through their discovered telepathy in both their human and inhuman forms.

If it wasn’t for both Klaus and Schephrael, she would have been subtly insulted by more than one of these old family leaders.

However, the most shocking of this all was the presence of Elliot sitting at the table among these aristocrats, apparently a story for another time –Klaus’ words—representing the fifteenth long death aristocratic family.

Yes, very shocking indeed. Especially for her, to the point she had to let Schephrael take control over her emotions to be able to not show any emotions every time her eyes met his and for her to keep her composure throughout the meeting.

After few other words exchanged between Klaus and the Palmer leader, the meeting was brought to an end, so one by one, they all stood to leave.

Lizza pinned Elliot with her stare daring him to leave her hanging without any explanations.

The room sat as quiet as a grave yard as the three other men sat looking at her, waiting. She was too calm and they hadn’t come across this version of her—well, apart from Klaus that was somewhat used to this version of herself—. Poised and composed.

“You’re new position suits you.” Lizza calmly stated.

“Thanks” was Elliot’s short anticipating response. Silence fell on them once more.

“Could I have a word with my dearest brother, in private?” she said back almost too saccharine for anyone’s liking but the men didn’t need chaos to break loose at the tension in the room, so they walked out one after the other, Klaus included.

“I know you might have done that because you estimated it would be a nuisance after what I’ve been going through but you’re wrong I’m your sister I deserve to know.” She broke the pregnant silence in which they were.

“We are now be part of their family but we have a past were you and I are family and need to stick together.” Lizza continued. Elliot sighed heavily then smiled at her ever so tenderly.

“Your right and I am sorry. As you said we are a family and I am your elder brother. So my job is to protect you and that’s what I’m trying to do. Protect your kid and you.” He paused.

“Elizabeth, you’ve changed so much it’s astonishing. You have a kid you love so much it scares me sometimes and you’re now married to an incredible man both literally and figuratively speaking. You are completely surrounded and protected and I don’t want to be your week point. For neither you nor your family.”

“I need to be able to protect both you and I from whatever the future will throw at us. Plus they have been needing someone to fill in that position, so why not?” he ended with an amused laugh.

But lizza couldn’t bring herself to laugh along with him because with a title came duties and with power came danger, however small that power was.

Elliot read his sister’s worried expression and smiled widely at her.

“We’re going to be okay. Alex, Dom and sir Salvior made sure I knew what I was getting myself into and are still making sure I’m aware of what I am now. I am doing so great at it, it almost feels natural for me.” Elliot feigned arrogance at his own words.

Lizza sighed. She really wanted to relax but couldn’t. This was too much change, too fast and too soon for her. She nodded at Elliot and they got up almost simultaneously. Elliot opened his arms wide for her.

“Come here” he said. She walked up to him and into his arms to receive one of his famous bear hugs.

The entire Wing was calm, leaving Lizza alone. Klaus had gone to work, Zoeday was out with Kaitlyn in their ex-plain field now flower field enjoying the sun and nature. Elliot was now gone to were his estate was and Alex was probably working too much for his own good somewhere on the planet.

She had taken a day off due to how tired she constantly felt these days, probably due to the load of work she had decided was good idea to tackle in just a few days.

“Reckless” were Klaus’ thoughts even though he never worded it that way she knew his mind thought so.

He had reprimanded her that morning and insisted she had a proper rest if not she would have to be bed ridden for a week and she knew he knew that was the last thing she wanted.
