Third person POV
During next days, Lizza started feeling sick. It started with just a little fever, then headaches and before the end of the week she was terribly ill. She had been bedded and had no strength in her body. And cherry on the cake, her body ached all over.
Klaus took care of all her needs as the perfect partner that he was and was always there or at least for the few times that she had been conscious because for now twenty four hours she had been drifting in and out of consciousness much to Klaus' despair.
He loved her— he adored her deeply. More than he could even manage to express and seeing her like that, unable to move, did something to him. But he couldn't complain, why would he? His perfect half was suffering and he had no idea what was going on with her.
He did researches, so many of them, but could find nothing on her case. Alex paid visits everyday, trying to figure out what was the cause of all these disturbances in her body but he couldn't quiet grasp what was going on.
Alex was more of a healer than Klaus cared to be and due to the years of experience, he was highly so and could heal from basic to very complex disfunctions of the body, regardless of the species.
But Alex was at lost of words on this particular case. He could feel the illness, feeling it grow more prominent at the tip of his finger while he examined her as days went by but he couldn't quiet place it.
It was on the ninth day of her illness that things escalated. Klaus couldn't think of anything else as he held her in his arms in their bedroom, not even able of calling Alex.
Lizza whimpered as her discomfort increased she wasn't conscious but her body was and it felt all the pain.
When the first cracking noise escaped her bones, she screeched so hard that her vocal cord could have grown five inches bigger than they normally where.
Klaus' eyes widen at the sound, not quite sure of what to make of it.
The second crack rang, echoing it the sob-filled room. Lizza didn't have the time to get a hold of what was happening to her as her eyes popped open just when another scream tore it's way out of her.
By the third pop she had lost her voice and could only whimper at the amount of pain shooting through her entire being.
Klaus on the other hand looked at the scene in disbelief, trying to make sense out of what he was hearing and seeing, his thoughts going as fast as the speed of light. He tried holding her closer to him but she sobbed in pain.
By this time, he could feel all her pain souring through his own body not as hard as it was hitting hers but he felt it, all of it.
When the fourth popping sound resonated, it was shortly followed by the a series of other pops and cracking sounds. Lizza couldn't bare the pain so she passed out with a strangled whimper escaping her lips.
Klaus stood up, laying Lizza on the bed as soon as the series of bone popping sounds increased. He could only watch as Lizza's body cracked and arched itself in weird angles lengthening and changing her body entirely.
His heart leaped in his chest. He couldn't believe what was unfolding before his own eyes.
Elizabeth, his destined was changing, her height, her body tint, her hair. All of it was changing just as his, when he was morphing into Del'mont.
She was like him. She was the female of his beast. She was made for him, just for him.
When her body stopped moving and her bones stopped cracking and popping, he sat next to her holding her head, gently in one hand and examined her body with the other as her ragged breath went on.
