The Other Blight

Chapter 7: The Plan

"Whoa." Amity said after letting out a deep breath, had she taken a breath the entire time her sister was talking? Probably not.

"Yeah... thats why I left. I was hoping that if I left mom would be easier on you three but, i guess i was wrong." Octavia leaned back and traced the lines in her hand as if they were going to protect her from something.

Amity grabbed her hand, "Hey O, I know that that must be a tough story to remember but I want you to be a part of my life. Only if you want to."

"Oh Amity. I have always wanted to be part of your life, it was hardest to say goodbye to you three. I just wish Emira and Edric could be here so I could explain everything and see how much they've grown." Octavia looked so upset at the thought of never seeing Em and Ed ever again, Octavia actually began to start tearing up.

"I'll go get them." Amity stood up from the bench and seemed very confident, "I will go back home, get Em and Ed and bring them here. They deserve to know you and know your life."

Octavia couldn't believe her ears, Amity would directly disobey their parents and bring her other siblings to see her. It really is all she had wanted since leaving and getting this house with Autumn, her siblings in her living room filling the air with joy and love and laughter. It would make the grey part of her life full of color once again.

"You... you would do that? for me?"

"Of course I would. We are family. We are Blights and Blights always withhold their end of a deal." Amity shook her sisters hand before Octavia grabbed her into a hug and both sisters started crying.

"Amity? Octavia?" Luz and Autumns voices were echoing through the garden, the duo turned the corner and saw the two sisters holding each other and silently crying.

"Did you two have a good conversation?" Autumn asked approaching Octavia and Amity, she grabbed Octavia's hand and gave it a light kiss.

"Yes, we had a pretty fantastic conversation and I came up with an amazing idea to reunite the Blight siblings!" Amity was so excited about her plan that she practiced shouted it at Autumn and Luz.

"... and that's how we are going to get Em and Ed here!" Amity was bright red because she definitely had forgotten that air is something that is required for life but she was just so excited to talk about Ed and Em that she couldn't hold it in.

"That sounds like a great idea! They can come tomorrow. It is getting late you all better head home. Amity you might have to help Luz get Edalyn home. Im afraid she found the big jug of apple blood and is just talking about Raine."

With that Amity, Luz and a very loopy Eda left the house of Octavia Blight and Autumn Whitlock. All Amity could think about was introducing Emira and Edric to their older sister, and maybe just maybe the three of them could convince her to come back to Blight Manor for just a moment to see their parents, but with that, Amity didn't hold her breath.
