She was still dumbfounded. She then clears her throat and opens her book.

"T-Then, my lady, shall we proceed straight away?" She changed the topic

I nod, and I put my tea cup on the table. "Yeah,"

As we began our academic lesson, I observed that Adelaide slowly lowered her guard down. She seems passionate with her career in teaching industry. Although, historically, women were treated as just nothing more than a housewife.

In my previous incarnation, there had been a story of a famous professor named "Adelaide Bouvier" whom existed in this universe.

She will subsequently run multiple institutions for aristocrats and common folk. Upon obtaining approvals from the imperial court to serve as the royal prince's educator, she has prosperity throughout her career. The royal palace acknowledges her potential as an educator, and inspired a lot of ladies to pursuing their own careers. She's like the first ever to promote women rights in this world.

The famous professor Adelaide began tutoring the heir to the throne, and several aristocrats knew about that. Additionally, they desire to hire her as an educator for their children as well and that's how she was able to have a fund to build a school. She was known from here---North Empire---to the other empires.

"Can you read me a poem by Henry Daenerys, the sixth ruler of the North Empire, please, my lady?" she requested. I didn't realize I was staring at her for too long if she didn't speak.

I stood up and spoke the following words, "Everyone must repent, for those who sin shalt be not barred from entering thy reign. People hide and people seek, secrets and fortune, which of these is you shall keep."

She was astounded once again, so I presume the allegations that I'm the "poorly educated kid of the duke" are legitimate. Luckily, I wasn't uneducated like the real Eloise.

"That poetry the late ruler chose to write was all about treachery, the betrayal of trust; his wife was cheating on him, decided to steal his possessions, and managed to flee; he unearthed this when he dispatched a knight to conduct surveillance on her; he trusted his wife so much, that he begins to fall into hopelessness after knowing this; he composed the poem, and days later, he ended up dead; the 7th ruler, his child, Jareth Daenerys, managed to find his mother and ordered to behead her from committing a crime that kills his late father." I explained. This is one of my favorite poems. Actually, there's a lot of theory about the poem that the late king wrote, however, this theory is the only one who was accurately related to the history.

I looked at Adelaide's direction and saw that she was definitely flabbergasted from the ways she reacted.

Illiterate, who?

I grin, adding, "Let's keep stuff going pleasantly, shall we?" I stated to avoid awkwardness between us.

"Wow, lady Eloise, I didn't even realize you knew such history," she said.

I chuckled at her and said, "Well, I have been reading a lot of textbooks lately. And I believe what I had just explained is just a theory."

"It is a theory indeed, but multiple history enthusiast proved that the poem is somehow related to King Henry's situation." She explained, "For instance, the part where the poem stated 'people hide and people seek' says that every person has secrets to hide and the second statement implies that people also has tendency to expose that secret. King Henry's wife had a secret affair and eventually the king found out that secret. Do you get what I was saying?"

"I do, Adelaide. In fact, I also believe that the stanza also connects with the following statement. Which one will benefit the individual, is it best to keep the secret or is it best to expose it?" I explained, "But honestly, either way will only benefit the old king's wife, and left him feel damaged and broken. She managed to stole from him and she became famous because of the affair, but not in the good way, which leads to her pitiful demise."

"You differed from the speculations I previously hear about you, which claimed that you have been arrogant, violent, a dictator, and illiterate." She stated

I shrugged, "I really do not care about the claims as I'm still getting better after getting poisoned several days ago,"

"Lady Eloise, someone attempted to poison you?" She seems concerned

"Yeah, but it doesn't matter well because I'm fine, don't worry about it." I sip my tea once again.

If the maid believes she already has escaped her crime against the Duke's daughter, she is mistaken, and I will find a way to expose her.

"Well, lady Eloise, that concludes our today's lesson." She stated, and stood up. "I hope you enjoyed learning King Henry Daenerys's life. We'll tackle the raising of the tax during his reign, and how slaves protested after his death."

"Oh goodness, Adelaide, I'm having such a great time with you that I lost track of time."

"It's alright, lady Eloise," she giggles.

I bowed before Adelaide as a respect and said, "Well, I'm looking forward more to our session tomorrow."

She bows and replies, "Me too, my lady."

As she walked out, I smiled at her and waved farewell. She appears a bit more at ease in my presence now. Veronica escorted her out to her carriage. I only watch her leaving from my balcony. As soon as her carriage left the ducal state, I lay on my bed and stared at the chandelier. I have a lot to do, this is just the beginning.
