We commence to our journey, we're almost near in the border of the Eastern Empire and yet I'm already starving. It'll be great if I had some meal right now
My stomach suddenly rumble loudly
I blushed when I noticed everyone's glancing at me
"Sorry..." I uttered
"There's a restaurant nearby, we can stop there, lady Eloise." Stella remarks and smiles at me
"I'm quite hungry too, hope there's some steak there." Gabriel added
"Aren't you supposed to eat live animals?" Stella said as she started teasing Gabriel
"I'm a human, dumbass."
"Really?"
"I'm a hybrid."
"I thought you said you're a human."
"You really know how to get into my nerves,"
"Thank you,"
"We're here." Theodore remarks as we stop in our destination
"Is this the barrier of the Eastern Empire?" I queries as I focused my gaze upon the high built wall in front me
This is almost high as the great wall of China.
Before we could enter, a group of knights points their swords at us
Oh no...
I started trembling as I stared at the sharp blade pointing directly at me
A flashbacks and memories of me being executed is coming back in my head
"We are the guards from the imperial family of Davies'. It appears that you're trying to cross the border, which empire you came from?" A knight questions
"I'm Severus Leonitus of Northern Empire." Severus answered
"A royalty, I perceived, I apologize. Well, then, you are guaranteed a pass to cross the border, your highness, may you enjoy the beauty of the empire." The knights said as they put down their blades and welcome us
"That went well." Gabriel uttered
However, it seems like Severus isn't delightful. Must be because they point their blades upon him.
There's a castle not so far from us. I spotted a man in the balcony, it seems like he's smirking at us
He's somehow familiar
