The twins are trailing me whenever I go. They somehow had a lot of energy more than anyone else here in the party. The twins are both sixteen years old yet they behave like children despite being seven months older than me.
I was watching the whole banquet near the curtains and the twins were also here with me. They're not going anytime soon, I guess.
"Hey, Eloise," Khal called me so I looked at him, "We've been wanting to tell you this, uhmm... We're sorry."
Why are they apologizing?
"We planned on apologizing with you for quite some time now but we're preoccupied with our own lessons and we can't find enough time to write you a letter," Khan explained. "Like, look. My arm are still sore from swordmanship class few days ago."
"An apology letter doesn't take that long to make."
"Yeah, we know but we're kind of lazy writing stuff to people" Khan concluded
That's not new to me, though.
Khal added, "And we want our apology to be genuine, so we want to apologize in person to you. And since we were all attending the prince's birthday, Khan and I decided to apologize to you here."
"Sorry for calling you names and for making fun of you..." Khan added
"And sorry for calling you ugly." Khal apologized
Khan looked at him, "Really, Khal? You only want to apologize to her because you called her ugly?"
"Why? She's pretty now,"
I raised my eyebrows, "So you're saying I am ugly before?"
"No!" They both stated in unison
"You're always been beautiful, we're just stupid." Khan stated
"He's stupid. I called you every names but ugly." Khal defended himself.
"How is that better!?" Khan stated before looking at me, "Anyway, are you willing to forgive us?"
A small grin appears in my face as I watch them argue for a bit. I suppose it'll be pointless if I resent them even further. Plus, they has nothing to with my death last time.
"Yes, I will," I said.
As soon as I said it, they abruptly hugged me together. I almost lost my balance.
"Hey, get off me now!" I exclaimed
"No!" They joyfully stated, "Thank you, Eloise!"
Suddenly, Raiden walks up to me and says, "Good evening, m'lady."
I looked at him while the twins were still hugging me. He is more appealing today than usual.
"Who is that, Eloise?" Khal asked before he let me go.
"He's Raiden Jondalar, he's a friend of mine. He's the one who gathered the evidence to prove that Viscount Caledon was guilty.," I said, I looked at Raiden, "Raiden, they're my cousins, Khal and Khan Bizeveron, son of the marquis Bizeveron."
"I see, it was a pleasure meeting you both." He stated and bowed his head, "Identical twins?"
"Yeah, what do you want?" Khan abruptly said.
"Wait, Raiden? Raiden Jondalar? So you're the magician from the newspaper?" Khal asked, "Khan, he's the guy on the headline along with Eloise."
"Oh, him. Yeah, I don't care."
"Yeah, me too."
I looked at Raiden, he looks like he'll sulk any minute after he heard what they said.
