I prepared a drink for Stella while we're sitting on a hut
"You don't have to do that, lady Eloise, it's my job...." She spoke
"It's alright," I insisted
I gave it to her after I brew the coffee that they bought earlier
"T-Thank you, m'lady...."
I grin as I nod, "Drink it to calm yourself."
I glance at his highness whom I caught staring at me then he look away
Gabriel has been quite since earlier
After that noble got arrested, we found him, still on his lion form, behind a huge tree
He's aggressive and I'm frightened to approach him that moment
I've never seen him that angry before.
He even growl at me when I tried to touch him, however, I stayed with him until he calm down
He looks at me at that moment and didn't say a word
And now, I assume that he's been like that because of what happened to Stella
"M'lady..." I heard Stella mumbling, "I'm sincerely sorry for making an awkward ambience.."
"It's fine, Stella. You must rest for now." I respond
However, I jolted when she suddenly dropped her knees to the ground
"I'm really sorry, it was all my fault..." she uttered
Gabriel went towards her and grabbed her shoulder to make an eye contact with her.
"What the hell are you doing?! You're not to blame for your own situation! it was all that bastard's fault not yours! Don't kneel for someone's fault!" Gabriel said
Stella didn't answer and the second we heard is that she was crying while Gabriel embraced her into his arms
None of us bother them because we all know Stella just felt overwhelmed about what happened to her. She was almost naked in front of everyone, I know it's traumatizing.
"What occurred today has nothing to do with how you dressed. The issue is in that geezer's lustful mentality. We regret that we were unable to prevent it.."
Gabriel's soft spot is showing when he said those words
I waited for her to sleep before I went outside as I spotted Gabriel sitting alone near the three
I approach him and muttered, "The full moon is dazzling tonight, isn't it?"
"Indeed it is." He respond
I sat next to him, "I remembered you and Stella squabbling basically every day. I'm impressed with your actions today." I added
"I guess, master.."
"Do you like her?" I asked and he jolted for some reason
"What? No, master, I would never."
His body language speaks the opposite. I grin as I look at him
"I see," I muttered
He's supposed to fall for Thalia, but I assumed, I already altered the whole novel
I gaze at the moon, I wonder if I'll forever stay here or I'm gonna return to my original world.
"Have you ever felt disgusted with me, master?"
I glance to Gabriel, he seems down
"Why would you think that?"
"It's just because we're different. I'm a monstrous creature and you're you."
"Who said you're monstrous?"
He didn't answer
Ah, he must've felt that way because of that aristocrat's words earlier
"Stella must have been delighted when you saved her; what you did this morning was remarkable. I saw how aggressive you are, yet I'm neither repulsed nor scared. Changing into a lion when everyone is watching in order to rescue a colleague is the absolute best thing I've ever seen." I uttered
"I appreciate those words, master. I somehow feel better, however, the grudge against that bastard will never go away."
"I don't know what's your plan but killing him was probably the best option." I joked
"I'll do that." He replied with a serious face
"Hey! I was only joking!"
"So am I,"
Who joke with a serious face?
"Lady Eloise and Gabriel, it's already midnight," Theodore muttered
"C'mon, let's get a good night sleep and tomorrow will be another day for us to continue our journey" I uttered
"Right," they both said in unison
If I ever have the opportunity to choose whether or not to remain, I would always opt to stay here. These folks are quite near to being referred to as "my home."
