I took a bath in my free time. I found it very much relaxing and stress-free, I shut my eyes while I was still in the water and nearly fell asleep.
I heard Veronica's voice from the outside as she stated, "My lady, it's time for your breakfast."
"I'll be there,"
I stood up and stepped out of the tub. My naked body is exposed to the female servants as they gently dry off my body with towels.
I sighed
Do I really need to do this? I mean... I was just being sarcastic before.
Well, technically it is since the duke and my brother Elliote obviously doesn't know what sarcasm is.
What have I got myself into?
Veronica and the rest of the servants helped me dress up. I wore a brown corset-like vest and a long white long sleeve gown beneath it. They paired it with boots.
Honestly, I looked more like a commoner than an archery trainee. But what's the point if I complain? It's not like this is the 21st century.
After dressing up, I went straight to the dining room. While walking down the stairs, I whispered to Veronica who's currently escorting me. "Is my brother and father gonna be there?"
She simply nodded her head, "Yes, my lady."
Damn it.
As soon as I arrived in the dining area, I saw Elliote having his meal while my father, Gomez, is reading the newspaper.
I stated, "Good morning."
They both glanced towards me with confused looks upon their faces.
Elliote questioned, "Did you just say good morning?"
"I did, then what's the big deal?" I replied as I sat down across them. The servants then served me my plate with my food in it. "Thank you," I uttered to the servants and they simply bowed their heads.
"It's surprising to see you've finally learned basic manners."
I placed my hands on my chest and grinned at them, saying, "Well, you know, I eventually realize that I was so childish back then, sometimes I absolutely loathe myself for overspending on gems and certain other things that I do not often use, and also for throwing hissy fits especially in public. I also felt sorry for the servants I verbally abused and punished before. It's a disappointing behavior as the duke's child."
My expression and the way I said my words makes them even more confused. But apparently, they bought it later on.
Elliote continued to devour his food as he said, "So you're saying you've changed? I find it hard to believe, honestly. I feel like I am hearing tons of bullshit."
"It's up to you if you believe it or not. But I know myself more than anyone else. I do feel sorry for what I've done before." I stated. I stood up and bow my head in front of every servants that's in the room. "I am truly sorry."
All if the servants, including myy brother and father, was shocked. I know the real Eloise took the rule of 'do not bow your head to anyone who has a lower status' seriously. Everyone around her knew that too.
I smiled at them and sat down again and ate as if nothing had happened.
The duke cleared his throat, "In any case, the story has already spread widely." He stated
"What story?" Elliote asked
"What is going on, dad?" I asked too. I was curious. What is he talking about?
