"Hey! Over here!"

Kim Seungmin looked up just in time for a paper ball to hit him square in the forehead.

"Those assholes..." he whispered to himself as laughs filled the room. Why is the teacher never here?  he thought as he turned back towards the work in front of him.

"Guys calm down, hes trying to teach me about math or something." Han Jisung said as he signaled his friends away, "Sorry about that dude... they can be rude sometimes."

"Sometimes? They're always rude." Seungmin replied as Jisung suppressed an obvious chuckle. He looked away annoyed.

Seungmin hated school, not because of the work though, because of the people. People always picked on him. There really wasn't a reason why he was bullied... he just was. It started when he was in primary school and had followed him all the way to 12th grade. People always kept him on edge.

"I'm so glad that this is my senior year." Seungmin said hoping to hear something similar from the guy in front of him.

"Me too, but I'm gonna miss my friends" Jisung sighed.

Seungmin rolled his eyes, I don't have any friends to miss... he continued to explain the math problem Jisung was struggling on.

Seungmin didn't like tutoring Jisung. He thought of it as work, just a task so I can make money. But even though it wasn't his favorite thing in the world, at least it made him feel as if he had a friend. Jisung also considered Seungmin as a friend, but not a close one. Jisung had his own friends, the popular kids. The same kids that bullied Seungmin. Seungmin only had respect for a couple of the popular kids. Mainly Hyunjin and Chan. Hyunjin was known as the "pretty, athletic boy". He played multiple sports and always had girls staring at him. Chan, on the other hand, was class president. A people pleaser. He was handsome too. Everyone loved him. Everyone loved both of them. They probably don't even know that I exist... Seungmin refocused his attention on his work.

"Damn, I really wish that I looked like Hyunjin," Jisung suddenly blurted out, "if I looked like that, I don't think I'd ever have trouble picking up girls... or guys. Hyunjin definitely pulls both." he continued as he looked at a laughing Hyunjin, who was standing on the other side of the room, with envy.

"yeah..." Seungmin agreed. Of course he pulls both... he's pretty much got it all. Pretty face. Nice body. He's smart too. He's lucky.

"At least I'm friends with him!" Jisung said as he looked up to an obviously annoyed Seungmin.

Good for you. You have friends. I wish it was that easy for me... Seungmin sighed.

"Do you need anymore help?" Seungmin asked Jisung.

"I don't think so." Jisung said scanning the math packet in front of him, "Actually this one." he pointed towards his paper. Seungmin quickly helped him with the question and then checked the time.

"We have to go soon." Seungmin said as he started packing up his things, "Whats your next class?"

"Chemistry. I have a test." Jisung replied.

"Did you study?"

"Of course! Otherwise you would be on my ass for the rest of the week." Jisung chuckled.

"Okay, good." Seungmin said with a smile.

"By the way..." Jisung started packing up his stuff, "Chan's having a party at his house Saturday."

"Saturday? So tomorrow?" Seungmin questioned as he placed all of his folders into his backpack.

"Oh... today's Friday... so yeah! Tomorrow!" Jisung replied happily as he shoved his math papers sloppily into a binder, "You should come."

Seungmin looked at Jisung in pure confusion.

"Me? A party?" He scoffed. Why in the world would he ask ME to go to a party? I'm Kim Seungmin. The kid who gets bullied by popular kids... why would I go to a party hosted by them.

"Yeah... you. Kim Seungmin." Jisung said in a weird voice as he poked Seungmin on the chest in a joking manner, "I know you've never been to one, but it's your last year of highschool! You never know... it could be your last chance to experience the wonders of drunk highschool kids throwing up everywhere."

"I'll think about it." Seungmin laughed as he threw his backpack over his shoulder. He may not be super close with Jisung but at least the guy was funny.

"Okay!" Jisung smiled in response.

The bell rang. Seungmin smiled, finally... only 1 more period until I get to leave this shit hole...
