~Chapter 11~

Seungmin got home late. Way past his unspoken curfew. His parents never gave him a curfew, but he knew that his parents wanted him home at a reasonable time.

As soon as he walked through the door, he faced his mom, who was giving the "intimidating mom glance"

Oh god- here we go...

"Took you long enough... wanna explain." His mom stated in an annoyed tone.

"Well... I- uh- was... I- I wasn't doing anything I shouldn't have."

"You told your dad an hour... it took you almost 4. Why in God's name did it take you that long?"

"Well... I did go to the store like I said... but I may or may have not gone to a store about an hour or so away... it kinda just happened-"

"How does something like that... just kinda happen?"

"I don't know mom... I like driving when I'm stressed so... like I said- it just kinda happened. I also ran into a... friend.... while there."

"Is this the same friend that you spent last night with?" his mom asked curiously.

"Uh... yeah.." Seungmin said quite panicked. If she ever finds out where I actually was last night I might as well be buried 6 feet under...

"Who even is this new friend of yours?" 

"He's the new kid.." Yes. just act like you met Felix... She doesn't need to know about Hyunjin...

"Why would he be at a store an hour away? Are you lying? We're you together?" Her tone getting more frustrated as she spoke.

"No I'm not.  We just met there... it was pure coincidence.. I promise." Seungmin replied nervously.

"Min... it's just that you seem way more on edge lately... are you sure this new friend of yours is really someone you should be hanging out with?" 

"Mom. Trust me. He's a good person... I'm just more on edge because of all these school projects... plus I'm graduating in less than 3 months... It's a lot to deal with." good. just play it off cool... you're doing great Seungmin.

"Okay... remember you can talk to me about anything... and please promise me not to do that again... we were worried sick... now go apologize to your father as well..." She trailed off, angerly staring at Seungmin the entire time.

"Sorry mom..." Seungmin replied with his head down as he walked over towards his father who was also giving him an evil stare.

After Seungmin apologized and talked with his dad, he ran up to his room quickly and threw himself on his bed.

What a day. Crazy is an understatement actually... I'm just glad I didn't get in too much trouble and my parents didn't find out...

After washing up and getting dressed in a new set of freshly washed clothes, Seungmin found himself once again trapped in a train of thoughts: School. What am I going to do... I can't let people be suspicious of me... fuck. My life's gonna be even more hellish from here on out... I have to show Felix around too... ugh. I shouldn't have gone to that party.

He let out an exasperated sigh. He was exhausted. Not just mentally, but physically too.

As he finally started falling asleep, he heard a ping come from his phone.

A text? That's odd... I rarely get texts... maybe it's Jisung...

His eyes widened as he read the name on his screen.

Hyunjin.

The man in front of Hyunjin scoffed.
