Why me? Seriously... why me.
Seungmin broke eye contact as soon as their eyes met. He didn't know how to react.
This is NOT what I needed. Not right now. I can't face him! I uncontrollably lied to him this morning- planning to never have a conversation with him again...
"Hello...?" Hyunjin said looking at seungmin confused.
"Oh- Hyunjin... hi..." Seungmin said still surprised.
"We didn't get to see each other off this morning... I'm glad I ran into you here."
"Oh... yeah- sorry about that. I had to get to Jis-" Seungmin froze.
Damnit. Am I a fucking idiot or something? Jisung and Hyunjin are close friends... I can't just tell him I was with Jisung...
"I had to run somewhere... work you know." he finished, chuckling anxiously.
"It's fine don't worry." Hyunjin gives a slight smile, "Why are you here though?"
"I had to get stuff for a school project... you?" Seungmin said genuinely curious.
"I- uh- well... came here to get stuff for my mom."
"Your mom? I thought you lived alone?" Seungmin questioned before realizing Hyunjin looked uncomfortable, "If you don't want to answer that you don't have to... that was kinda personal. Sorry."
"Uh no your fine- I do live alone... I- I don't live with my mom. She called me so I could pick up stuff for her." Hyunjin said hurriedly.
"Oh well I'll let you continue then... it seems important." Seungmin said trying to get off the topic.
"Oh its fine, you too..." Hyunjin said almost timidly.
What's up with this behavior?
"Before you go though-" Seungmin started suddenly, remembering that morning, "Thanks for this morning... I should probably pay you back."
Yup. I'm an idiot. Why would I say that- I should have just said walked away like he was about to. Now he's probably gonna want to meet again...
"Oh if you really want to... sure." Hyunjin said hiding his smile.

This is my chance.
Hyunjin had lost his hope after Seungmin had brought up the topic of his mother. He thought he had lost his chance to make a move. His mother has always been a tough topic for him. When people brought her up he often ignored them. But he didn't want to ignore Seungmin. That's why he was happy when Seungmin brought up the idea of "paying him back".
"Can I have your number?" Hyunjin said holding his breath.
"I- uh- y- yeah... sure." Seungmin said panicked.
"Don't worry it's just so we can make plans to meet back up... so you can repay me." Hyunjin tried to hide another smile.
Well... maybe more that just so you can repay me... but- I kinda feel bad. This poor guy... he been trying to avoid me and now he's giving me his number... he must hate me. He's the one who's playing hard to get though-
With that thought Hyunjin slightly frowned.
Am I doing the right thing?
"Here's my phone." Hyunjin gently laid his phone in Seungmin's empty hand.
Hopefully he doesn't lie this time.
