Hyunjin didn't want to go to school. He knew it would be awkward between Chan and him.
The incident repeated in his head. He pictured Jeongin sitting uncomfortably on the edge of Chan's bed, the look of discomfort on his best friend's face. He frowned.
Trying to ignore the feeling of dread, he got ready. He had woken up earlier than normal, in an attempt to make it to school early.
6am...
Do people actually wake up this early?
He sleepily rubbed his eyes before getting in the shower. As tired as he was, he couldn't help but feel much calmer with the water running over his body. Hyunjin preferred morning showers, not only because they made him wake up, but because they eased any negative thoughts he had woken up with.
He proceeded with his typical morning routine: he brushed his teeth, picked an outfit, fixed his hair, and ate a bowl of cereal. He wanted the week to be over.
Today and tomorrow.
Just as he was about to exit his apartment, he felt a vibration from his phone.
Who in their sane mind would call this early in the morning?
He reluctantly pulled out his phone and read the name on the screen. An immediate frown replaced his neutral expression.
Mom.

Seungmin started to find hiding from people easier than he originally expected. No one even realized he was there in most of his classes. He was mostly worried about the popular kids bullying him, but they seemed to have finally found a new target.
Only took them nearly 9 years... and all it took was me disappearing for 3 days... assholes.
He looked at the time on the clock beside him.
12:15pm
2 minutes until lunch.
He quietly sighed.
Seungmin hated lunch. For the majority of his school life, he had eaten alone, trying to fit in with groups here or there. It never worked out. He thought that he would've gotten used to it by now, but it always left him feeling lonely. Felix attempted to sit beside him for the past 3 days, but Seungmin refused, worried that since Felix was the new kid, he might draw attention to him. It made him feel bad, but he brought it upon himself.
Life is so shit. Why do I try so hard?
The bell rang. Seungmin quickly and quietly gathered his things and headed to his locker. As he headed to the cafeteria, he felt a vibration in his pocket.
A text?
Hyunjin
H: hey... question?
H: you said you'd be down to talk right?
H: does tonight work... only if you're up
for it ofc
Seungmin stared at the text. He held his breath. Every part of his body froze. As much as he wanted to say no, part of him wanted to say yes.
I should say no. It would be better if we stopped meeting.
He pondered the thought.
