~Chapter 16~

Hyunjin woke up the next day and got ready for school just as he had the day before. After grabbing his things he hopped in his car and quickly drove to school. He had a bad habit of waking up late. The entire drive there he could only think about how he would face the kids at school. 

When he arrived, he quickly found chan.

"Hey Chan!"

Chan looked over at him excitedly

"Hyunjin!" Chan replied as he waved to him.

They walked to their lockers together, just as they would on any normal day. 

Hyunjin knew that he was getting a lot of stares, but he just shook them off and collected his things for his first-period class. Luckily, Chan and he shared the same first period. 

As the two boys entered the classroom, they sat next to each other in the front of the class as usual.

Whispers accumulated.

Hyunjin looked around. He felt slightly uncomfortable, but he was ready to deny any rumors that came his way.

It's just a normal morning.  Nothing is going to happen.

"So Hyunjin, what are your plans for the meetup?" Chan asked, realizing the younger's discomfort.

"The meetup?" Hyunjin asked, still being quite shaken up.

"You know... the meetup..." Chan replied, emphasizing 'the meetup'.

"Oh."

"I still don't know where... he hasn't texted me." Hyunjin frowned

Just as Chan was about to ask another question, a group of girls came up to the front of the class and gathered around Hyunjin.

"Hey Jinnieee." One of the girls said in a whiny voice.

"Uh-" Hyunjin attempted to speak but immediately got cut off.

"So are all those rumors about you true?" Another girl asked.

"Surely not!" The first girl playfully said.

All the girls giggled.

"Hey-" Chan tried to interfere but got cut off as well.

"Of course they aren't true, right Jin?" A third girl added as she leaned on Hyunjins desk.

"I-" Hyunjin was cut off again.

"You've heard the rumors right?..." The second girl asked in a prissy voice as she did a once over of Hyunjin sitting at his desk.

"You came out as gay? And a hookup rumor with a dude named 'Minseok'!" A fourth girl added in a judgemental voice.

"Stop talking nonsense Jiyoung! They can't be true.."  The first girl giggled.

Hyunjin looked down at his lap. He didn't know what to say, but he was getting angry.

They're being really goddamn annoying...

"Hyunjin..." Chan looked at him worriedly.

"Well... last time I checked. There was only one rumor" Hyunjin replied as he looked up at the group of 4 girls with a blank stare.

"Only one?" The third girl asked.

"Yeah..." He smiled, "I'm gay. That's a fact, not a rumor. The only rumor is that I hooked up with that supposed guy." Hyunjin looked at the third girl with a cold glimpse of eye contact.

Chan's eyes widened as he observed the scene.

"Uh- what... you can't be for real-" The first girl replied disgustedly.
