Stiles fell asleep after an hour of uncertainty. My phone rang in my pocket, and I gently left Stiles' side, stepping outside of his bedroom door.

"Scott?" I said quietly into the phone.

"Y/n— Someone's taking the bodies," Scott said quickly. My eyes widened, and I glanced back into the bedroom, to Stiles' unconscious body. "Y/n, are you there?" Scott asked.

"Yea— What do you mean? Where are you?" I asked quickly. I heard another voice in the background, and Scott piped back up.

"I'm at the animal clinic with Kira. Tracy's body is gone. The lock on the door was broken from the outside. Mom just told me the other body, Lucas, went missing from the morgue. They've been searching the whole hospital for it. Someone's stealing the bodies," he explained. I sighed.

"Well that's just great. Let me touch base with Malia and see if she found anything useful. Be safe."

"You too, sis."

"The Dread Doctors by T.R. McCammon," Lydia read off of a crappy paperback.

"It looks pretty boring," I muttered. Malia shot me a pointed look, and I put my hands up. "But it may be totally useful," I added quickly. Lydia frowned, and we turned to her.

"What is it?" Malia asked. Lydia flipped the book open.

"I don't know. There's something about it... Has anyone actually read it yet?" Lydia asked. Malia nodded.

"Just me, and I didn't understand any of it," she replied. Lydia turned to me, holding the book out for me to see.

"We should probably all read it... Starting with you, Y/n. Can you get anything off of touching this?" Lydia asked. I glanced down at the cover and saw the three familiar faces of the things that killed Tracy. I looked to Malia, and she nodded with a comforting smile.

"It's alright, Y/n. Nothing's happened to me yet," Malia quipped. I raised my eyebrows, as I took the book into my hands.

"Wow, that makes me feel great."

"Done?" Scott asked as I joined the two at the printer. Kira handed me a bunch of copies of the book she made.

"All done!" Kira said, glancing back at the long line of students waiting to print. "Sorry," she muttered. I followed them towards the Library doors, looking at the now non-existent scaffolding. It was gone. A flash of Stiles' horrified expression struck my brain, and I blinked it away quickly.

"Y/n? You alright?" Scott asked, patting my shoulder. I blinked at him quickly, handing him the papers, as I took a copy of the book.

"Yea— Yea, I'm fine. Just thinking about everything."

"I don't think the Dread Doctors are the ones stealing the bodies," he said. Kira glanced at him.

"Are we really calling them that?" She asked. Scott rolled his eyes.

"Think about it— they killed Tracy and walked away. They killed Lucas and walked away. Why would they leave and come back to take the bodies? Someone else has to be taking them," he explained. I nodded.

"These bodies... They aren't just bodies. They're failures to those doctor things," I said. Kira nodded.

"So, if the Chimeras are all failures, what's the success going to be?" she asked. I looked over to Scott, and we stopped in front of the doors.

"Probably really bad," he muttered, looking around.

"What's wrong?" Kira asked. Scott frowned.
