Walking through the forest is relaxing. Even though the world is against you it's nice to just breath I the sweet air and walk. My hand is in lane's as we walk.its been two days and we haven't found any signs if wolves. Looking at lane I notice his ears twitching. He must be listening to our surroundings. He's so protective of me. My tail is slashing back and forth as I keep walking. Lifting my nose I take a deep breath. Fresh rabbit takes ahold of the air. We've been walking for a while and I was tired so I decided to get a snack. Letting go of lane's hand I winked at him and got into a predatory stance. Stalking toward the gray rabbit I extended my claws slowly. Getting on all fours I got ready to pounce. The rabbits head swung up at the last second right before my claws sunk into its skin. Killing the rabbit I held it up proudly. I heard clapping behind me.
"Good job." Lane said softly wrapping his arms around me.
Smiling I walked to a small clearing and started making a fire. Lane caught on and got some wood, getting the fire hot. Taking a knife is lined the rabbit and prepared it for cooking. Quietly I put the rabbit on a stick and put it over the fire. Me and lane sag j. Comfortable silence until the food was done. Taking a Leg I shoved it into my mouth ignoring the heat. Lane followed my example and took the other leg. We just stared into each others eyes while we finished the rabbit. I love him so much. I know it hasn't been long but I feel so safe and happy with him. I feel like he can protect me from the world. Packing up and stomping out the fire we headed on. Lane doesn't speak much. He mostly observes. After an hour of walking I smell wolf markers. We're at the border of a pack territory.
"What should we do?" I asked lane.
He didn't reply. Instead he pushed me behind him and let out a hiss. In front of us appeared five wolves. One was a sandy blonde with blue eyes. Two had gray fur with green eyes. Another was black with blue eyes, and the last is a chocolate brown with black eyes. I have never seen such a diverse group of wolves in my life. Why would this pack have diversity? Lane crouched in front of me in a fighting stance and started growling. The wolves slowly started surrounding us. The blonde wolf shifted back to reveal a tall buff guy with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. Lane quickly covered my eyes still in a fighting stance, tense for an attack.
"Calm down we're not going to hurt you." A mystery voice said.
Lane just let out an angry yowl and let his claws out. I could feel them lightly grazing my cheek while he had his hand over my face.
"Cover yourself." Lane growled.
"Oh sorry of course." I heard a shuffle of cloth and lane took his hand away.
The blonde had put on black basketball shorts and a white T-shirt. The four wolves are in a defensive stance around us and the blonde is still in front of us with a smile on his face.
"My name is Rowan. I am the omega of the Zane'a pack. I'm going to have to ask you to come with us to see our Alpha." Lane's hold on me tighter and he let out a scary growl that even scared me.
"Mine!" He growled out clutching me to him.
"We're not going to hurt your mate. We just want to help you." Rowan said calmly.
Rubbing his upper arm in soothing circles I whispered sweet nothing's in his ear. In a matter of seconds I had him calm enough to think reasonably.
"Lane. We should go with them." I said pushing the hair out of his face.
"What if they try and hurt you?" He asked.
"I trust you to protect me. So lets go." I took his hand a took a step toward the Omega.
"We'll come with you." I stated trying to look confident.
Rowan just smiles and turned around. We followed him for a couple of minutes until we came up to a castle. It was literally a castle. We walked across the yard to a huge twenty foot gate. Rowan pushed a button and looked into a scanner. The gates opened and we just walked in. The smell of wolves is thick in the air. Rowan swung the doors open to reveal a beautiful circular room with three corridors leading away. The castle is lit up with torches and candles as we wind up stair cases and hallways. If I tried finding my way out I would fail. Finally we made it to double oak wood doors. There is two wolves howling at the moon carved into the door. Taking a deep breath I waited as Rowan opened the doors
